Gonzo does a really great job of meeting us where we're at in it skills and is fantastic with explaining concepts so we can understand. I'm grateful to have found him to help us learn our First Dance!

We loved our time with Gonzo! Logistically, he was responsive, low-key and easy to work with. We live in an apt and the space constraint was not a constraint at all for him. But the headline is that we learned how to dance! Our goal was to enjoy being on the dance floor at our son's wedding. Gonzalo taught us how to do that. He quickly ascertained where we were (not much past beginner!) and then got us to the next level. His manner is professional but not uptight. Most importantly, he is an experienced dancer, and has a gift for teaching. Magic combo for us!
Details: 46-65 • Two people • Swing • Beginner • Preparing for a wedding • 60 minutes • Once a week • My home, venue, etc.

Gonzalo was amazing! In only 9 lessons, he was able to take us from complete novices to doing a beautifully choreographed first dance for our wedding. He is so patient and knowledgeable, and he is able to make you feel comfortable in order to fully absorb the lessons. You can tell he is passionate about it work, and he does a great job of instilling it in you. I would 100% recommend taking lessons with Gonazalo if you ever have the need.
Details: Two (ex. me and my partner) • First dance • Slow Dance • No, I do not have choreography in mind • No experience • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

FAQs
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I always seek to improve myself with lessons from teachers of various fields relating to movement and art.
So I am knowledgeable about almost all aspects of how people think and see themselves in move across space. I have become an expert at walking with good posture and poise. We take these three for granted so studying them is a must if you want to dance well
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love the feeling I have when I am lost in the moment and I am moving with the music.
So as early as I can remember I wanted to dance. Teaching dance was just another way to keep dancing as much of time as possible. I have never had any other full time job.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have trained dancers from all walks of life. I teach children and senior citizens and everyone in between and at all skill levels, from the most novices to professionals.
I have not met anyone that could not learn to dance no matter how clumsy they felt at the start because they all respond well to the positive reinforcement I am able to convey.
