The camaraderie of our clients, aka the DC Fit 10-tastics is the best part of DC Fit 10. All of our DC Fit 10-tastics work hard at being better each day, and encourage their teammates to do the same. Our community focuses not only on the physical development, but the mental development as well. We want all of our DC Fit 10-tastics to have a strong body and mind and teach them how to use their body as their machine . I specialize in getting you to overcome your obstacles, challenging you to do more, and getting you to move your body the way it is designed to move. My main goal is to make sure we improve your life in the best way possible, generate both your inner and outer strength, and support you in your goals. Most importantly, I want to make sure you work hard and have fun and play hard!

I adore Deanna. She knows more than just fitness, she gives you the scientific reasoning for everything you are doing, how things work with each other, and how to properly stretch so you don't hurt yourself.

"Workouts designed by Deanna are a series of well thought out and varied exercises designed to help you achieve your goals." As an editor, I sit at a computer all day – every day. It took its toll on my posture, bones, and even my walk. But working out several times a week with Deanna Cordova, who has an advanced degree in kinesiology, has not only helped build up my muscles, it has freed me from the pain caused by a sedentary work style. Deanna designed workouts for me that focused on movement and those specific muscles needed to tolerate the rigors of editing so that at the end of the day my back and hips would not hurt. A very big plus is that she documents my progress with mini-videos, to which she gives feedback, so that we can see what needs improvement or change and work to make that happen. Welcome to the digital age of personal training. You will not find this kind of personal attention and expertise in any high-priced fitness centers or gyms. I am not a person who can be enticed by challenges and slogans. I just want a workout that works, and I want to enjoy it. I exercise to increase my stamina, strength, improve my posture, and be pain free.   • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    We meet to discuss your goals, your health history, your fitness history, what motivates you, why you are looking for a trainer, etc.. We do not typically workout during this initial meeting, it is used as a way for us to become familiar with one another and for you to decide if I will be a good fit for you.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have a BA in Business and MA in Kinesiology. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor, and a Functional Aging Specialist. I have been trained to teach TRX, ViPR, and Z-health principles. I also have a Diploma in Personal Nutrition.
