I paid Omar to come help me disassemble and wrap two bed frames for sale. I gave him wrapping plastic, ziploc bags for the hardware, and clearly explained I needed everything organized and wrapped as I had buyers picking up the beds. The job took him 3.5 hours - during which I heard excessive banging around from upstairs, but he never came down to let me know the job needed more hands or that there were issues. Fast forward and I sell the bed - the buyer lets me know that the bed frame is severely damaged. Additionally, he’s missing hardware and the pieces are not all accounted for. Meanwhile the buyer of the other bed frame lets me know a key piece of her bed is also missing and that she is missing screws. It’s clear at this point that Omar was not keeping track of the hardware and possibly wrapped the wrong parts with each other and mixed up pieces. I reached out to work with him to resolve the issue and he claimed he did nothing wrong, every piece was there and this was my mistake. It’s nonsensical. An overall horrible experience with a person who does not take accountability for simple mistakes with simple solutions. So disappointing.
