Introduction: Hello! I'm a digital cartoon illustrator and have been working in public health for over 20 years creating products and campaigns for children and young adults dealing with substance abuse, mental health, HIV prevention, environmental issues and personal safety. Mike provided illustrations for four activity books that I produced for a client. He was always on time with submissions. He listened to what we wanted and made culturally and geographically relevant illustrations that the client loved. He incorporated our feedback and was an overall pleasure to work with. The only reason I am not including photos is because the client has not made the books public yet.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally work at $100/hr. Most full color illustrations take 5 hours. If there is a finite budget, I will let the customer know what I can provide within that amount.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I listen to my customer's vision, find out why they're passionate about this project, then offer my input. Next, I’ll sketch out ideas and once approved, I‘ll take the art to the finished product.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the School of Visual Arts Cartooning program.
