FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most clients prefer that I charge a flat fee based on the scope of the work (how much work there is to do). 3D views are included in the Design Services Fee. The fee does not include, if your project has permit-required renovation, the licensed Trades or a licensed General Contractor.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is no charge for our first meeting, and subsequent review of the Design Summary, Services and Fee Proposal that I email to you. Moving forward, we set a day and time for a Design Interview, so I can learn all about you, your design ideas and priorities. Next, the designing begins.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been designing professionally, full-time, for 25 years. I'm in the process of obtaining my Interior Design ASID license, as well as my professional certification as a Building Designer, and then I have the opportunity to pursue becoming a licensed Architect to advance personally and professionally in a way that helps my clients and non-profit efforts helping to end homelessness. In the meantime, It is important to note that I'm an Interior Design Consultant, not yet a licensed Interior Designer so if your projects has permit-required renovation, I work with licensed Trades or a licensed General Contractor. I'm involved personally with all phases of the design process: Overall design direction and vision, color choices, layout design, furniture selection, purchasing, receiving, inspecting, delivery and install, AND I work with only the best furniture makers, upholsterers, and other industry professionals.
