FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started a juggling club in college. At our fist show we met some clowns. I asked one for his card because I thought I'd be good at what he does and he said okay but he never gave it to me. So after following him around for a while I finally followed him into the men's room. That's when he gave in and handed me his card. I was hired by his employer and the rest is history.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask a lot of questions. Are you full-time or part-time? How long have you been full-time? Do you have a website? Are you insured? Who will the performer be? What kind of guarantee do you have? The more you know the better you'll feel. And the right entertainer will be the one you hire.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How will the activities at the party be planned? In other words, when will the guests arrive? When will food be served? When will the cake cutting take place? A simple plan can be thought about in advance to maximize the fun for the kids when the entertainment arrives. Most entertainers will also be happy to discuss a program that maximized your guests enjoyment.
