Introduction
My flavors and techniques come from my personal experiences. I've lived all over the world, and have been engrossed in the culinary arts of those places. I'm Sudanes, early in my career, I studied and worked as a chef in Damascus, Syria. Middle Eastern cuisine is one of my specialties. I also lived in Thailand for many years and consider it to be one of the best food cultures in the world. I'm a skilled Thai cuisine chef as well. I've also worked as a sous chef in one of Washington, DC's top restaurants and have a repertoire of innovative farm-to-table recipes. I bring this food and cultural knowledge to my catered events, intimate dinner parties, cooking lessons, seasonal parties, and more. An empty plate makes me happy. The best part of my job is sharing my passion for food and cooking with my clients. From weddings to small dinner parties, seeing my food being eaten, enjoyed, and discussed is my greatest pleasure. I also love when a fellow chef or food enthusiast introduces me to a new culinary concept or recipe. The sharing and creativity that are part of food culture inspire me.

I went to a birthday party Chef Ali catered and his food was excellent. I'm not an eggplant fan and rarely eat it, but I couldn't stop eating his baba ganoush. He also uses unexpected flavors in his food in ways that are always delicious.

Chef Ali was the sous chef at Table in DC when I took my out-of-town guests out for dinner. His food was beyond superb. I don't always care for refried beans but we had an app of refried chick peas that I can never get enough of. The rest of our meal, was equally as creative & mouth watering. I'm planning a wedding in July & will be hiring Chef Ali to feed my family our traditional Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food.

Chef Ali's food is a culinary journey of who he is. His food will take you to the blue Nile in South Sudan, to the heat South Asia, back to the tropical flavors of Thailand, and finally to the bayous of Louisiana. When you eat Chef Ali's food, you not only leave with a full stomach, but you leave having met another friend. His food brings people together. If you are a self proclaimed foodie, like me, you will enjoy spending time talking and learning about Chef Ali. Chef Ali treats food as more than just food, its a cultural experience, one that is not to be missed.

Chef Ali's food is Delicious!!! He prepared a Turkey for an event being held at the house and it was amazing. I've sampled a number of his dishes over the past two years and they have all been exquisite. He has extraordinary depth and range as a chef.
