FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started off in film photography a long time ago as a dedicated hobbyist. I've always had a good eye for composition and have never had a negative experience shooting. It started off with friends asking me to do gigs and eventually my freelance work started getting noticed by bigger media outlets.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
A lot of people are in love out there, so engagement/wedding photography are my most requested jobs. In addition to freelance photojournalism projects, I also do a lot of campaign and event photography.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently photographed and produced a photo essay on DC boxing legend and youth trainer Eugene "Thunder" Hughes. The essay was shared by NPR's WAMU and other DC organizations.
