Introduction
I mentor because I love facilitating the enjoyment of music. It's not inherently obvious how to enjoy the learning process of music, so I aim to make the process as smooth and intuitive as possible for my students. I teach principles of music through a combination of recommended repertoire along with music suggested by the student. I create a custom curriculum for each student. My 1-on-1 elite instruction will enable you to learn in six months what may otherwise take 5 to 10 years. NOTE: I don't respond to leads. I highly recommend Max. In addition to being an excellent teacher from both curriculum and musical talent standpoints, he really understands the importance of teaching a connection to music. He has taught both of my daughters, 13 and 7, for several years. After struggling with two different piano teachers' inability to teach my kids a love for music and focus on rigidity (did not align with my goals), it was a gift to find Max and see my girls develop a love for music. He is patient and an excellent influence on my girls, too, as they often talk to him about life during lessons. Additionally, Max's energy is so pleasant (big when you have someone in your home!) and he is a clear communicator.

Max was our 9-y/o son's piano teacher for almost two years, including one full year of virtual lessons during the pandemic. No matter how they connected (in person or on FaceTime), he kept our son engaged and excited to learn. One of the best things he did for our son was to teach him the music behind some of his favorite songs, that weren't necessarily beginner piano songs (e.g., Michael Jackson, the Weekend). Our son loved this and was more eager to learn and play for people. We highly recommend Max!

Max is a pleasure to learn from: he is patient, cares about how I learn best, and draws from a deep well of knowledge and playing experience. Students will gain both a solid base and the tools to create.
