Introduction: While many admission consultants offer their expertise - I have a concrete track record of success. I've been ... - A Fulbright, NSF, Gates Cambridge fellowship recipient... - Admitted to Harvard (PhD & MEd), Princeton, UC Berkeley, Cambridge, & MIT... - Grad Advisor to undergrads accepted into programs at Oxford, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Georgetown & Harvard... I get to help folks find their voices and to being the hard work of both articulating their visions and working towards changing their realities. There's this wonderful moment when a person feels that they've finally *finally* been able to put their passion into words ... it's a major step in getting them on the road to reaching their goals.

I hired Jovonne to advise me with my graduate application to a top five global university. It had been over 20 years since I last attended college, so I really had no idea where to start. Before I began working with her, I took a shot in the dark and wrote a statement of purpose and essay. Jovonne quickly determined that while I had a lot of good themes, my documents were missing much of the content admissions committees wanted to see. Since she attended multiple top global universities and reviewed many graduate applications, I trusted her judgment. I refocused my efforts based on her feedback and guidance, and more fully developed the themes she knew the committee would be looking for. I devoted a lot of time to improving my application, and when it was done, Jovonne did a superb job of editing my final product. She is an outstanding writer. A couple of months later, to my astonishment, I was admitted to my desired program. I honestly never expected to be admitted, but Jovonne pushed me to “aspire higher.” It’s really a dream come true, and I could have never done it without Jovonne’s expert guidance. I absolutely and without reservation recommend Jovonne for anyone who seeks admission to a top university.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Know what you *really* need help with before you search for a consultant. Getting help with your admissions process requires a significant investment - not only of money, but energy and time. My aim is always to make that process as efficient and effective as possible. When clients come in having done the hard soul-searching work of answering the questions of why they're really applying to *this* type of program, in the aim of getting *that* degree, and at *this* specific stage of their life ... we've already won half the battle. So my advice is never go in blind - do your soul searching first - OR - if you need help brainstorming and thinking through things, think of that as a distinct stage in the process, recognizing it must happen before any of the application work can begin.
