Gifford Fence Company, LLC
I received three bids to replace my fence after Irma - Gifford Fence gave the best value, were responsive to my questions and did great work. I have already recommended them to two people in my neighborhood who need work done as well.Jan 22, 2018
Jerry seemingly hires subcontracted or temporary workers and god forbid anything is not done right Gifford Fence will not stand behind their work. He always says the right thing via email which is the only way i've communicated with him. Never seen him in person nor talked on the phone. His father (also named Jerry), came out for the quote and was a very nice fellow which is the reason I went with them. What a mistake. I paid in May 2016 ($6,400.00), here we are January 2017 and my fence is still not complete. As stated by Jerry via email, all three crews that worked on my house have since been let go. In his words, Sloppy work was performed; And yet, here we are in January 2017 and he has not fixed it. Many post do not have concrete on 4 sides, the custom gate has multiple mis-drilled holes in it, several top rails did not have retaining hardware installed and blew out in the storm in October. Poorly cut, cutouts for conduit, post which are far from being straight up and down and are an eye-sore and were verified with a level to be leaning over. Jerry agreed it all needs to be fixed, but has stopped responding to emails/calls, Last material response received in August. Only one other email since then and it was to say he unplugged for the holiday weekend (Thanksgiving) and that he'd get back to me......nothing since then. They didn't even provide the upgraded post caps which I paid for and I ended up buying them AGAIN myself in December since he apparently is to busy to make a phone call to source them.Jan 8, 2017VerifiedJerry G.'s reply
As a follow up to this review I have worked with the customer to address any issues and have made the corrections he has requested. I am awaiting his response to my request to follow up with his initial review. We do all we can to handle issues and this has been on the repair calendar for quite a while, but something always came up to delay getting it taken care of. That is my responsibility and I dropped the ball on getting it corrected quickly.
