Bottom line: This guy knows what he's talking about and knows what he's doing. I thought my Walker Coon Hound was train- proof. Brian proved me wrong- my dog is getting more and more obedient after every session and he loves it. Clickr training with Brian works. I felt a wave of relief after the first session. Overall great 100 percent positive experience. Highly recommend.
Cliff has the perfect demeanor for being a dog training specialist....both calm and assertive (with pets and their owners haha). When we first met Cliff in 2009 we had a newly adopted 8 week old puppy with a lot of negative puppy behaviors. So many skittish, destructive and biting behaviors though that we were advised by two other trainers and a couple of family members to "give her back" to the pound and that she would be a potentially dangerous family dog to keep around and "unpredictable" around young children. Cliff provided puppy training to us over the course of several months and helped shape Maya into a more mellow young dog that year. After we had our son, Cliff returned to help make sure the transition went smoothly, that our dog Maya would know her place and be safe around the new baby, including practicing walking Maya next to the stroller and wagon and anything that could potentially make Maya react negatively. Cliff was fantastic and Maya has been an awesome family dog these past 7 years. Great on long car trips, mellow and tolerant of kid grabs on ears and tails, never growls or snaps when our 6 year old son or other small children would jump around her or touch her treats or food. We are so grateful that Cliff saved her from the pound round 1. Then after moving away to the D.C. area, and visiting our parents back in South Florida, Maya had a negative experience at a dog boarding facility in Palm Beach Gardens. She had been attacked (unprovoked at her last stay at a Dog boarding facility in Virginia requiring stitches, etc.) and we didn't realize that she had probably also been traumatized by this event and her next experience at a dog daycare might not be as enjoyable for her. She got into an altercation with another dog and one of the daycare handlers and was kicked out of the facility never allowed to return. I was told by the trainer there that it is "sad when a good dog goes bad". I was devastated!! Cliff came to the rescue again. He offered to immediately pick her up from me and board her for a few days while I visited with my parents and to train her while boarding and see if he could correct some of those nervous and potentially aggressive behaviors. He helped her work through some of those issues and took her into the community interacting with other people and dogs and she returned to us quite happy and like herself again. We are so grateful to have found Cliff 7 1/2 years ago and because of him we have the best, most gentle family dog we could imagine. SO glad he saw the potential in Maya and helped us through those negative behaviors!!
I had a great feeling about Franco the first time I talked to him. He came to us for the first time today and I am so excited. My dog is already responding and Franco is a true professional and knows his stuff. Looking forward to a long relationship with Franco training my Maggi.
After 5.5 years of living the carefree bachelor life, Kingsford and I took the plunge into adulthood and moved in with my super neat, no pets on the furniture girlfriend and her dog + 2 cats. It was time for a trainer. We as a family did the training at what has become our apartment and Jose took the time to answer any questions and go over background, dog mentality, etc. We learned a lot about what was going through Kingsford's mind and how best to train him accordingly, both in the apartment and on leash. It took mere moments to learn what Jose was explaining to us and the results have proven incredible. With 6 beings in a NYC studio apartment, we have all managed to live in harmony thanks to Jose's tips. Subsequent to the training, Kingsford had trouble refraining from urinating inside the building once we left the apartment unit. I sent Jose a text and he promptly got back to me and walked me through potential issues, some more dog mentality, and resolutions. I could not be more pleased or grateful with the training and follow up. Highly recommended!
Wendy is a peach! My "rescued dog" Hunter, a dachshund, is very skitish with people and other dogs, but from the moment Wendy walked into our home, Hunter received her as a friend! That in itself says a lot. After 6 weeks, we have now taken him, with Wendy's guidance, to the local dog park for the first time since we have had him, and maybe the first time in his life, and contrary to my worst fears, he was very well behaved, which I can only credit to Wendy's affectionate and patient dog (and people) training. I would highly recommend Puppy Dog Luv/Wendy Heller for training!
Rosie has been training our goldendoodle (Derby) off an and on for a few months and has done a great job. He responds very well to the training and looks forward to her visits (and treats). I recommend Rosie for those looking for 1on1 training for their puppy.
She really helped with training my dog Bailey.
She was on time and very knowledgeable. Our dog was having a problem with going to the bathroom inside the house and she is an older dog. She gave us a lot of solutions and we tried them and it has worked almost instantly. Would recommend!
Mr. Otazo has been training my 8 month old (huge) puppy for about 4 weeks now, and I am so thankful for have coming across such a caring company as Atazo Animal Services is. I have met most of the employees and they are all so kind to Kane as well as I. Kane is very happy to have them around, he is not easy one and they have had all the patience in the world to help Kane become the best version of himself.
We called Ann for help with our very active one year old Mastiff/hound mix, Walter. From the very first meeting there was a sense of professionalism and kindness and with her training under Cesar Milan, we knew she would be perfect for the task ahead. Currently we are half-way through our lessons and Walter is already a changed dog. He is no longer ruling the house and has become much calmer and happier. He now has purpose and is very focused on what his role as a dog is. Just being able to have someone knock on the door without mayhem is worth the price of the lessons and that is only one of the many goals that Walter has accomplished so far. We had prior puppy and intermediate classes in a pet sotre but there is no comparison between them and private lessons with Ann. Ann's approach is strong, focused and patient. She trains with purpose, kindness wile not putting up with unwanted behavior. The knowledge and tips she shares is priceless. She also gives Walter time to think things through so he really "gets it." We are looking forward to our next lessons and to continued growth for Walter into becoming the wonderful dog and companion we know he will be thanks to Ann.
Linda Greenfield is an exceptional dog trainer with a keen understanding of canine behavior and family dynamics. She is an amazing teacher and handler and I would recommend her to anyone interested in learning the art of dog training and how to strengthen the bond between you and your dog. Dog training has never been so much fun and rewarding. Thanks Linda!
Our lab mix would pull when on her leash making walking her uncomfortable. She now walks without pulling due to Kelly’s training. She also went wild when someone would come to the door. Kellly took care of that problem too. We tried other trainers before Kelly and they were a waste of time and money. Kelly is the BEST!
I have a blue Weimaraner who weighed 65 lbs by 1 year old. She had trouble with impulse control and constantly pulled when walking her. Every person and dog we encountered was her new BFF! I am petite and had trouble keeping her from jumping on passers by and from being dragged down the street. Brianna walked my dog and taught me techniques and gave me the tools to train my large puppy. It took a while to train my willful and high energy dog but I can now safely walk my full grown Weim, confident that we will enjoy our walk. Brianna is wonderful with animals, has a gift for working with dogs and training both the dog’s behavior and people on how to train their dog. Brianna is caring, knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. in my opinion, her fees are very affordable. She has also helped me through my dog’s skin rash issues by recommending skin remedies which have been helpful as I do not like giving her antibiotics. I cannot say enough good things about Brianna and highly recommend her. She has been my Dog Whisperer for the past 2 years!
Carlos is a professional, talented and knowledgeable trainer who is extremely passionate about training animals. His years of handling and training K9s with the US Army and with other US Government agencies have given Carlos a deep understanding of the process of selecting and training of K9s and how K9s and handlers interact most efficiently. Also, aside from being an excellent trainer, Carlos is a gifted instructor who has the patience to take anyone from any level of experience and show them proper K9 handling techniques, maintenance, and commands to ensure that the handler/owner and K9 are performing at the highest levels possible. If you are looking for a K9 trainer for anything from obedience to personal protection with proven results, Carlos is the trainer that you want.
I highly recommend working with Megan. Her compassion for dogs and upbeat nature made the training itself engaging and enjoyable for my one year old labradoodle! She always gave 110% to me and my dog, she is reliable, organized and most of all knowledgeable in the training and behavior of dogs.
Very professional and knows how to deal with the different pet personalities. My chihuahua is very well mannered and house broken thanks to Edgar's training.
We have a 5 month old Goldendoodle that is a bundle of energy. Needed help with housebreaking, obedience, crating and leash walking. Marti assessed our dogs behavior and was confident she could work with her. We opted to send our dog with Marti for a 10 day boot camp and board her at her home. When our dog Harley came home Marti discussed all facets of her training and took the time to teach us hand commands and the proper cue technique to continue reinforcing what she has learned. Harley is 10 times more obedient, is a pleasure to walk, sits, stays and lays down on command. I highly recommend Marti for her knowledge and training skills. If you want a dog that you can be proud of give Marti a try you'll be glad you did!

A trained dog is a loved dog. A trained dog is less likely to show fearful or stress-related behaviors that can lead to even more undesirable behaviors like aggression. I do positive reinforcement-based dog training to provide the best solutions for you and your dog. I offer in-home private lessons for you and your dog personalized to suit your dog's training level and your busy schedule. Another very effective and convenient option is day training where your dog and I train while you are away. A walk is included in this training option. I provide customized, effective training solutions for you and you pet. If you want to give your dog the best of everything, that should include professional training with someone with over eleven years of experience.
The services I provide are as follows: * Basic training/manners * Behavioral counseling * Behavior modification * Grooming services (baths, nails, ears, and basic haircuts) * Intermediate/advanced dog training * Attack/protection/guard training (only with prior behavior counseling session to determine if the dog is acceptable for such training) Not all dogs will be acceptable!
I am a firm believer that training should be a fun experience for both dog and owner, because it is a process that establishes the foundation of the life long relationship- and that foundation should be a positive one.
