Luxen Design
About
I’m Mary, an architectural designer with a Master of Architecture and five years of professional experience. I founded Luxen Design as an architectural design studio focused on residential projects. We guide projects from early concept through design development and permit-ready construction drawings. Our work is grounded in creative, visual thinking, using 3D modeling and renderings as design tools to test ideas, align expectations, and make confident decisions, while delivering the technical documentation required for approvals and construction.

My company builds middle housing in the form of duplexes, townhomes and cottages. Luxen has become our go to designer. Were starting our 4th project with them. I highly recommend.

Amazing experience working with Mary and Luxen Design. They helped us with the design of our home remotely, and the whole process was seamless. Mary was very responsive from the start and stayed on top of everything throughout. We went room by room, getting into every detail, and Mary ordered material samples to help us make decisions with confidence.Overall, it was an awesome experience. I highly recommend working with Luxen Design for any project!

Outstanding Performance Review Architectural Drawings ProjectI am delighted to provide the following review for Luxen Design, and their work on my recent architectural set of drawings. From the very beginning, Mary demonstrated outstanding listening skills, carefully understanding the project vision, client specific requirements, and all stakeholder input. This strong foundation allowed her to contribute creative and highly practical ideas that elevated the design beyond initial expectations. The renderings produced were truly life-like and stunningcapturing not only accurate architectural details but also the intended atmosphere and materiality in a way that brought the project to life for everyone involved.Mary showed meticulous attention to detail throughout the entire process. Every drawing, annotation, and specification was thoroughly considered, resulting in a set of documents that were exceptionally clear and professional. Our first submission to plan commission, zoning, and permitting passed without need of revisions.Collaboration was another area of excellence. She worked seamlessly and effectively with the structural engineer, proactively addressing coordination issues and ensuring integration between architectural and structural elements.Despite the project's complexity, Luxen Design managed to stay well within the established budget while delivering outstanding quality. There were no surprises during construction documentation or biddingeverything proceeded smoothly and predictably. Most impressively, the project was delivered on time meeting every critical deadline without compromising on quality. In summary, this was one of the smoothest and highest-quality architectural drawing packages I have worked with in my 25 years in construction. Mary is an outstanding professional whose talent, dedication, and collaborative spirit make them a true asset to any project. I would enthusiastically recommend her for future work and look forward to collaborating again and would be available for a professional reference.Jeffrey Miller, ASLA, GRP, NGICPLandscape Architect/Project Manager
