FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Mold remediation costs can vary depending on the size of the affected area and the source of the moisture. At Pure Shield Restoration we prefer to perform a free quick inspection so we can accurately determine the extent of the mold and the underlying moisture issue. Our goal is to address the root cause so the mold does not return. As a family-owned and operated business, we are able to keep overhead lower than many large restoration companies and franchises. This allows us to offer competitive pricing while still using professional containment, HEPA filtration, and proper remediation procedures.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process starts with a conversation about the issue the homeowner is experiencing. We typically perform an inspection to identify the source of moisture and the extent of the mold growth. If remediation is needed, we set up proper containment using plastic barriers and HEPA air filtration to prevent cross-contamination. We then remove affected materials, clean impacted surfaces, and run professional drying equipment if necessary. Once the work is completed, we make sure the area is clean and the moisture issue has been properly addressed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are licensed by the State of Florida and hold a Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification through the IICRC. At Pure Shield Restoration, we follow industry-standard mold remediation procedures and use professional equipment such as HEPA air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and moisture detection tools to properly address mold issues. Our focus is on safe containment, proper cleaning, and identifying the source of moisture so the mold problem does not return.
