I am passionate about music and singing. I have sung professionally on stages all over the world for 30 years, singing 70 roles in 10 different languages. I was the Principal Mezzo Soprano at the Finnish National Opera, a European A-house in Helsinki, Finland, (over 500 employees) for 25 years. My American Debut was at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. My other great passion is teaching voice. It is wonderful to experience the joy that a student feels after finding his/her voice and starting to improve his/her performance.
By now I've worked as a voice teacher for 15 years, well familiar with both European and American voices.
I have a Master's degree in Music, including performance and teaching. I have had additional education in Complete Vocal Technique, which familiarizes me with Pop-, rock,- jazz-, and country singing techniques. My students include both beginners and professionals. I can teach you both to sing like an opera diva, and to belt and sound like a pop diva. For me, the basics are important. I want you to learn proper breathing, support, relaxation and interpretation. With a good foundation, you have a technique that lasts a lifetime.
I am very serious about what I do, and I expect my students to be equally serious in their work. With all this said, expect to learn a lot with me, but also expect to have lots of fun doing it.
You will have better singing for a better life!
