My daughter's baby shower (my 1st grand child). Joy is amazing! I wasn't sure where to start so amazing is the first thought that came to mind. I can't say enough wonderful things about Joy, I feel quiet lucky to have found her. This was a baby shower that was supposed to be approximately 50 guests, which nearly doubled, children were added as well and Joy had a great attitude and rolled with it and put my fears at ease. From the moment Joy and I first spoke, I felt I was making the right decision. Joy took care of every detail, she brought my vision to life and exceeded my expectations! Joy took care of every detail, from the shopping of all items, ordering the cake, which was also amazing and delicious! Joy and her team prepped all the favors, made awesome centerpieces and made beautiful baskets for all our giveaways and prizes. Joy and her team are quite talented, they even made special custom items I requested and some I did not request that just blew me away! Joy and her team set up the venue, stayed for the entire event and cleaned up! Joy and her team greeted guests and she even hosted the fun baby games! Thanks to Joy and Joyful Time Events my daughter had a wonderful baby shower with memories to last a lifetime! The tears in her eyes after she walked in said it all. I will be recommending Joy and Joyful Time Events to all my friends! I will definitely be calling Joy for any future events I may have!

Joy was a pleasure to work with from her first time we connected. She made me feel beyond comfortable having a Wedding Rehearsal of ~100 people and 1000 miles from home without having even met her in person!! She covered every detail imaginable, so that I could enjoy the night to the fullest with my family and friends.

I am not sure where to start in describing my experience with Joy. She is simply amazing! I could go on and on about her. One thing for sure if we ever need an event planner in the future, Joy is on speed dial. I cannot imagine working with anyone else. This was our first time working with an event planner and Joy made the experience one of kind. She was the event planner for our baby sprinkle and thank God I chose Joy out of all the Thumbtack responses that I received. From my very first conversation with her on the phone, I was immediately drawn to her great personality and professionalism. She is definitely in the right field. Even thought she couldn't be there that particular day because of a prior engagement, she still took our event on and made it amazing. She communicated with me on a regular to keep me up to date on everything. She worked with our budget and created these outstanding, creative decor and favors. She took my ideas and made them more than I could ever imagine. The guests kept asking who made all the stuff. Her attention to details and little touches are just beyond. We would highly recommend Joy to anyone in need of an event planner.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Clients usually request a standard fee or an hourly wage. I try very hard to get my clients a good price by utilizing my vendor connections, wholesales prices and creativity. I do not charge by the hour because I love the small details and spend a lot of time on them. You may get someone to give you a set price, but be sure you understand what it truly covers. I pride myself on being open, honest and fair. I meet with my clients free of charge. I go to them to learn about their expectations, Vision and Budget. I return a few days later with what I can do within Their budget (including my fees). I always look for ways to save my clients Money

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I do any type of event coordination- from weddings, birthdays, any special moments to corporate and community functions

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

    I recently did a gender reveal and was very proud of my ability to surprise the Mother to be, her family and friends in a special way
