FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is standard and very competitive and I know for a fact that we are 20 - 50% less than what other AC companies charge. Our labor rate is $85 per an hour and sometimes Freon prices vary. We recently received a call from a new customer looking for a price to replace his blower motor on his 3 year old AC system on Siesta Key. I told him the motor was covered under warranty and the labor would be $170.00 and he said the other company wanted $1,000.00 to repair. He was so happy he called us first and didn't let the other company repair his system.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with my customers in person and give them a free estimate and upfront pricing so there are no surprises. I will even show them what's wrong with their system so they understand and help them make an educated decision. I also will give my customers tips on how they can help maintain their system, which saves them money. Replacing the system is always my last resort unless it makes sense. I'm not a salesmen, I don't pay for expensive advertising campaigns and I do not hire sale people. This allows me to offer very competitive pricing to my customers. I never charge a diagnostic, trip or overtime fee and I only employ professionally trained HVAC Technicians and installers that can handle any AC job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training in the Navy gave me an excellent education and foundation and helped me land a job in the heating and plumbing field when my term was over. I quickly knew this was the field for me and excelled at my job. I loved repairing and installing boilers and furnaces and wanted to learn more about HVAC/R so I enrolled at LTI and graduated with honors in the 1980. After graduating I worked for large HVAC companies for 20 years and then decided it was time for my to open my company in 2000. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
