About
Fifteen years, a whole lot of leashes, and I still get excited every time a dog has its lightbulb moment. 🐾 I'm a balanced trainer, which just means I don't tie one hand behind my back. Treats, praise, and play? Absolutely. But I also use whatever tools and methods a particular dog actually needs to get real, lasting results. Every dog is different, so your training plan should be too. My goal isn't just a dog who knows "sit." It's a dog who's a pleasure to have around: calm on walks, welcome with guests, and a true member of the family instead of a stress, or worse, a liability. I've trained just about every kind of dog you can imagine, from goofy puppies to stubborn adolescents to big-personality breeds. My background goes well beyond basic obedience, too. I've done protection and detection work with law enforcement, so I know what it takes to build a dog with serious focus and reliability. But my favorite work, hands down, is helping families and their pets figure each other out. What really sets me apart is that I don't consider the job done until you're happy. Not "mostly happy." Not "good enough." Fully satisfied. If something isn't clicking, we adjust and keep going. I'm in your corner until you've got the dog you were hoping for. Ready to enjoy your dog again? Send me a message and let's get started!

I cannot tell you how much Quinn has changed our lives....not only did Quinn correct my Bullet's bad behaviors but he has made our house ours again. We could not have visitors over without having to put him in another room because he would jump up and bark and push off of you. He was not being mean but he was too excited and really didn't know his own strength. Quinn's training is so good that Bullet no longer greets our visitors with those bad behaviors he actually has manners. There is no more pulling while we are on our walks or no more trying to chase after the cats that he sees on our walks or people on their bicycles. I don't know how Quinn does it but Bullet would not go in a crate WHAT-SO-EVER...well guess what Bullet loves his crate and he now goes in it whenever he wants to chill. I honestly do not know if there is any behavior Quinn cannot fix. I HIGHLY recommend Quinn and I will truthfully say it was money well spent for Bullet and both Mommy & Daddy, our house has changed so much for the better!! If you want results call Quinn...bottom line! Thank you again Quinn, and by the way Bullet misses you and all your outings together. :)

Unfortunately Quinn has moved out of state, but I wanted to leave a review in case he picks up again in his new location. Short version here: I cannot recommend Quinn enough! We have a dog that gets aroused very easily, and has a hard time keeping it under control. Our main problems were his excitement to see people and his utter dislike for other dogs.If you tried to control him in any manner via leash, harness, or other method away he turned and bit at whatever restrained him. Basically you could see his brain turn off and he was highly stressed out even if it was a happy reaction. Other trainers told us "oh, he is young (2yrs old), he will grow out of it", and tried to shove us calming treats. However, Quinn took it for what it was, a very strong arousal response, and helped us get a handle on it. Dogs with high arousal can be difficult to handle and need a lot of time and persistence which is most likely why the other trainers basically wrote us off. After Quinn's training, he no longer jumps on people, when formerly he would jump up to 6ft straight in the air to get eye level with you to say hi, and obeys when he meets new people He is still reactive on leash to a certain point with other dogs, but we have the foundation and training from him to get it to a non-issue before he moved. Our dog also has a noticeably calmer and happier state of mind in general. Quinn is fantastic and patient with dogs (especially needed with our stubborn brat) and again I cannot recommend him enough.

Quinn, at My Professional K9, helped us with our puppy Lola. I love going for walks but taking Lola was no fun at all, she would almost pull me over. Quinn came to our house for several in house training sessions. He helped us with many commands for Lola but he focused on walking since that was my main issue. I couldn't believe how quickly Lola's behavior changed. Now it is a pleasure to take Lola for a walk and I even get comments from neighbors about how well behaved she is. I highly recommend Quinn for all of your dog training needs, he is great!
