- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Weddings are very complicated for the bride and groom. So I think the simpler the better! $125 per hour for one shooter. $150 per hour for two shooters. Includes: Edited images on DVD Personal online Gallery Music slide show for Facebook or other social media sites. Engagement, Family and Maternity Sessions: $250 2+ hours may have up to 2 clothing changes ( have to be quick though!) Includes: 5 edited images on DVD Personal online Gallery Music slide show for social media sites. Simple, right?
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly taking continuing education classes online, attending local seminars, and searching out information on line. I am a member of Professional Photographers of America, which mails out a monthly trade magazine. There are wonderful learning articles throughout. I also subscribe to numerous professional blog sites. It is wonderful to learn from other photographers and to get their feedback.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved photography and the arts from a small child. I considered fashion photography at one point but went in a completely different direction. Years later I was asked to shoot a wedding for a friend, in the days of film. And when I was done, I thought "That was fun! I'd like to do that again." So I went back to college, got my degree and now I get to do what I love!
