Circuit breaker panel or fuse box,
I am so pleased with our experience hiring D & C. The initial job was to repair a dryer duct/vent. It required uninstalling appliance, drywall removal, repair of duct & then drywall, & re-install of appliance. Don worked quickly, efficiently & cleaned up area when done. His easy demeanor & quality of work has prompted us to hire him for more. He has now installed a beautiful, complete garage door. IT’s FANTASTIC! Now we’re knocking out a list of projects for our new home & an additional property that needs some love. Don is our new handyman for all projects!!! Quality work at an incredibly fair rate.Apr 28, 2020Verified
Don and his partner came out the next day (a Sunday) after contacting him. He was extremely reasonable priced, honest, and accomodating. He and his partner communicated with me during the needed repairs to make sure that they were able to meet all my needs. Although it was handyman work (repair to a broken garage ceiling) Don and his partner noticed that our garage door needed oiling. They went ahead and took care of that as well. I asked for many business cards as I will be giving them out and highly recommending him and his partner to all my friends! I will also be contacting him again as future repairs are needed.Mar 25, 2019Verified
Plumbing Drain Repair
I was not present and Don came in and got the job done!Apr 18, 2020Verified
- Poor estimation of work, end of paying double price - Left to job without informing us and need to follow up couple of times to finish the project. - Not happy with outcomes and most of the finishing work done by myselfJun 28, 2020VerifiedD & C Services's reply
This was by far the worst customer I've ever worked for. We went above and beyond each and every time they requested more than what we agreed to but didn't want to pay. Constantly rushing us to do the work and adding more work but not understanding why it took longer. I've done work for hundreds of people and have never been so disrespected as I was with them. Even while I was working on the rock wall they sat directly behind, me sat on couch and interrupted us constantly with changes. They wanted a bathroom floor changed in 1 day. This consisted of removing old tile and old thinset, laying new tile( which required several cuts), grouting and reinstalling toilet and vanity because they wanted access to bathroom. I explained that the results would not be adequate because thinset and grout need time to cure. They said to go ahead anyway. Even after they didn't like the results I told them I would come back and do it all the correct way for 240 for everything. It came out beautiful. Pictures are on my profile of floor and rock wall. They are very very difficult people and only care about themselves. We bent over backwards and all they wanted was more. Anyone else I've done work knows my character and integrity and when I say I'll do something I will do it.
Garage Door Repair
Don was on time, so pleasant, and did a thorough job. Hired him to change my weather strip which was charged fairly he also brought the materials which was so convenient. He also tweaked my garage door which had a loose belt, greased my entire door and rollers free of charge. He provided outstanding service and we have him already picked to change out our garage door springs!! Thank you Don!Apr 2, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I offer free estimates but its difficult to give stamdard pricing without diagnosing problem or speaking with customer about their preferences.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually starts with communicating via phone or email. I like to get an idea of problem they are having or if they are looking for a new door, to get idea of their preferences. Then i schedule time to look at it. If we agree to price then i usually fix door right then.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've been through a 2 week training course and another 2 week hands on. Also I have 3 years experience working on doors. Before that worked around projects that complimented my expereience like carpentry.
