Introduction: I am retired from working in a children's hospital where I was employed for the past 16 years; when I retired, I was working for the Chief of Pediatric Neurology. I started out my career teaching elementary school, but after I had children of my own, teaching took too much time from my family, so I changed to 8- 5 jobs. I have done babysitting since I was a teenager. My husband left me and my children when I was in my mid-40's, and in order to help support my children (and my elderly mother who was living with me), I have done a lot of babysitting for those whom I worked for and other business associates, as well as for church family and friends. I also worked in the nursery at my church. I love interacting with babies and young children, watching and encouraging each new step in their development. I have musical training and love to encourage this in children.
