Our training class are prepared and build based on a 24 years experience working with dogs. We work on a 38,000 s.f safe and gated field. Dogs are amazing creature that deserve to be treated well. They are really smart animals. Their only goal in life is to learn how they can please you and become your best friend. You have to admit that it is really hard to find a human like that. My job is to highlight and show you how you can help them to achieve that goal.

Dan was amazing with my 2 girls. I have 2 new puppies who are approx 5 months. They leaned so much in the 5 sessions we had. I have 2 large breed dogs so it scared me to train 2 dogs at once but Dan taught me the techniques I needed. My girls are so good now! Can't wait to start group class in a few weeks.

I believe anyone that has gone to any dog training 101, would not be able to compare it or compete with the wealth of information and personal training I have experienced in Americanidog training with Daniel Ratte. There are many challenges presented for our classes . My personal growth as a dog owner and learning the training aspects to gain the complete devotion and respect of my four legged best friend is truly remarkable. For me I can truthfully state Daniel Ratte is a highly rated dog trainer and has made a incredible difference in my life. and Oh What fun for me and my dog!!!!

I have been taking classes from Dan Ratay with American Idogs since the summer of 2010. I had tried several other dog training classes, but they were always repetitive and dull after awhile. Daniel introduced me to clicker training which was new to me at the time, and it turned out to be a very useful tool. He uses only positive reinforcement (something else that set him apart from the other classes I looked into). How can I take the same class for 2 years now?? Many of his students are returning students session after session, because we always learn something new. Each class is built upon the basics we have learned, but always has a challenging new twist to make it interesting, to keep us thinking, and to practice with the dogs at home. Also, what I really like about Daniel is that he covers the topic of dog behavior as well to help us understand and read our dogs better. We talk about how certain dogs react during class as examples to understand what he is talking about. By doing this, it allows us to apply what we are learning outside of class, where it really matters. And most of all, classes are FUN!!! It is an environment where we can feel free to ask questions because many times, other people can learn from them too. It is not competitive like some other dog training classes, and we are all there to help each other. Every time I go, I have fun and I know the dogs do too.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Group classes available from $119 Lure coursing $15 per even unlimited amount of run. Private one hour session are from $100 to $120 per hour depending on location. For boarding and training I take a maximum of 20 selected dogs per year. Rates are competitive and are changing depending on distance and season. Do an evaluation of the situation to understand the root of the problem and be able to establish a protocol of exercise to correct it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Judge for the World Canine Musical Freestyle Organization. Pro member of American Association of professional dog trainers. American Kennel club tester for the CGC test. Been around dogs now for more than 24 years.
