Spanish lessons are going great! Georgette is fantastic!Sep 18, 2019Verified
If you're looking to learn or improve your Spanish speaking skills look no further! Georgette is very effective and customizes lessons based on each individual client. I appreciate her professionalism and personable nature. She is a terrific instructor. I'm confident that I will be at least conversational in my Spanish speaking abilities under her instruction.Jun 26, 2019Verified
Georgette is amazing. She caters your lessons based on your preferred learning style and experience level. So far my Spanish has greatly improved. Thank you Georgette 😊Jun 25, 2019Verified
I've had two Spanish lessons with Georgette so far and I would highly recommend her. She's very encouraging and clearly wants to work with you so that the learning is catered to your skills/understanding. Her method is very helpful to learn everything in pieces but bring it together. Suddenly you find yourself forming sentences you'd never expect. She's very responsive via email/text too, which is fantastic. I feel like she's helped me progress a lot.Nov 28, 2018Verified
Georgette is absolutely amazing. I am taking spanish lessons with her for 1 hour once a week. She taught me full sentences just after my first lesson. She makes it convenient for me and works around my crazy work schedule. I would absolutely recommend anyone to her that is trying to learn Spanish, English, French or Italian. I am so grateful that I found her!Dec 29, 2018Verified
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? It really depends on the student. I modify my way of teaching according to each student's particular preferences. I can work with books if they prefer so; or by using a method in which they won't be needing any text books
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've been a language tutor for over 35 years;, so this has given me the opportunity to engage in several related activities and jobs. I had been the ESL Coordinator for Miami Dade Community College in Hialeah, the Language Department Coordinator at a language school in Mexico City and I have translated several essays and three books from English to Spanish and from Italian to Spanish. I have studied French grammar in Mexico; English grammar in London and the United States, and Italian grammar in Rome, making grammar my major in all four languages.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?By feeling passionate about languages and how people can (or cannot) communicate with people from other countries.
