About this pro
I am proud to say that I am a Level 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapy trained psychologist. The Gottman Institute is the only program in the world who has compiled 40 years of research in the field of marriage and relationship counseling. I have been fortunate enough to train under the Gottmans and obtain the skills and tools for my clients to thrive in their relationships. I counsel all types of relationships - not merely romantic relationships. Interpersonal skills are the most important skills humans need in order to develop relationships to succeed in school, work, and life in general. When working with romantic couples, they have the option of using the Gottman Relationship Checkup which will provide them with a 60-70 page analysis of their specific problem areas where, in turn, I am able to produce a treatment plan to meet the couples' specific needs. My work stands out from all the rest because of my innate ability to understand others at a much deeper level. I am unlike the traditional therapist who simply sits and listens without providing feedback. I use a proactive approach to healing and recovery and respectfully confront & guide my clients toward growth and a fulfilling lifestyle. For all of my clients - I take the time to listen, understand and genuinely care. I treat each client as a unique individual; by using assessment tools, I also customize each client's treatment to their specific needs, lifestyle and circumstances rather than a textbook outline; my clients know I am authentic and empathetic; and I provide a safe, comfortable, homey, non-judgmental environment for them. My work is my passion and for that I am quite fortunate. This profession is what I was gifted to do. It is my life's calling and the best part of it is watching my clients/patients make changes that allow them to live life with newfound tools to manage the obstacles have been blocking their way of a peaceful existence. Watching them transform in front of my eyes is the most gratifying and intrinsically rewarding aspect of my work.
Customers rated this pro highly for work quality, professionalism, and responsiveness.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I am a doctor of clinical and forensic psychology AND a certified coach practitioner. Patients can contact me for a free consultation to determine what type of service they need. If patients do not have insurance, I will discuss a reduction in my fees. I do accept insurance plans that are PPO as an out of network provider. Those who have an HMO will have to pay out of pocket as I am not on any insurance panels.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I meet with the client for an initial 90-minute consultation I take a full history to determine their needs - and then we get started by the next session. I typically provide "homework" in the first session for the client to complete to assist me in getting to know them quicker to save time and money in the long run.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Being a clinical psychologist required me to earn a 7-year degree as a doctor. With that said, I also earned TWO Master's degrees (one in Human relations and one in psychology). I have a double doctorate (clinical psychology and forensic psychology). I graduated all with distinction. Further, I have a certification as a coaching practitioner. I keep up with all continuing education and learn from the guru's in relationship counseling (Gottman Relationship Institute), addictions, eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, etc. I have my continuing educational courses listed in my websites.
