Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the results.While there were a few minor issues along the way, the project manager, Christopher, was outstanding in ensuring everything was addressed and completed flawlessly. The demolition team, as well as the glass fabricators and installers, were professional, efficient, and kept the work area clean throughout the process. I have multiple horror stories of contractors basically stealing all the way to not completing anything on a project they were paid for including the initial plans being unacceptable to the city. I actually found Arthur and his company Strategic Construction after my last contractor nightmare and he was God sent. Not only does he do great quality work. Most importantly he does what he says he is going to do on budget and on time. His subs are good at what they do and he monitors their work to completion. All of my contractor needs are business related and always have a thin timeline. Arthur hits the dates and takes any of the normal anxiety I used to have with contractors in South Florida off the table. If Arthur says he can do it I know it will be done on time and correctly. To put it lightly if Arthur isn't available for the project, I would rather push the project back than to take my chances in the ocean of South Florida Contractor Sharks. Hi my name is Kevin. I'm in the process of buying my first home. I called Opus One Design Build on a Sunday and RJ returned my call within a couple minutes. I told him what I was looking to renovate in the home, he asked me a bunch of questions to better understand my situation. To make a long story short, he took the time to explain to me my best approach on renovating my place on a lower budget. This company seems big on integrity and doing what's right. I guess that saying is true "you pay for what you get"

A representative named Jim came to my job site to give me a quote and appeared detailed and thorough by making notes taking pictures and measuring a few walls.
The jobsite was a condo to renovate and resell. He said it would take a couple of days to get quotes from a plumber and electrician and he would give me details about getting permits.

I called four days later to find out if he had a quote and he told me he was waiting on the electrician but everything else was in order. I did not hear from Jim The following week and he told me that he was waiting on information from the electrician which was in conflict with what he told me before.

A couple more phone calls and no answer back. Apparently he was not interested in the business I think he earned based on his thorough walk-through. He told me he works for Home Depot as a Kraftmaid cabinet rep in addition to a general contractor so he works two jobs. Apparently he lost a good job for the GC as he did not reply or even follow up on my phone calls.

It’s been two weeks and no quote or call back. Time is important when you’re renovating and reselling and I’ve lost two weeks waiting on him to get back with a quote. My advice is don’t be strung along by him and waste your time or money.

Another responsible GC got the job and permits have been started. I wonder if the owner, Adrian, knows how much business he is losing.

My advice is find a reputable general contractor and don’t waste your time with this organization.

We recently hired Kenny and his associate Jesse to convert an atrium space into a home office, and we couldn't be happier with the results. From the start, Kenny was great to work with. He really listened to our vision and not only brought it to life but also suggested thoughtful additions that significantly improved the final outcome.

Communication throughout the project was excellent. We always knew what was happening and when. What particularly impressed us was how they handled a change order mid-project; Kenny worked creatively to incorporate our request while staying within our original budget – a huge plus!

***AMAZING EXPERIENCE*** Allens construction service had contacted me within 10 minutes of requesting service through thumbtack. Within a hour they were at my home providing me with a quote and it was already after what some would refer to as "business hours". After showing them what needed done they clearly explained the process, the preparation and a detailed cost. They were even willing to get the job done that evening but I had already had plans I couldn't reschedule to which they replied how's first thing the following morning. Sure enough they came when they say they would got the work done in a short incredible time. They didn't leave any sort of mess and took great care in moving any of my furniture as well as protecting it.

Why I needed Allens Construction - I had a small fire happen from a candle that was knocked over to which caused some damage to a wall. They painted that entire room top to bottom. They got rid of the awful smoke/soot smell. The room they painted looks extremely better than any other room in my home!

I will be sure to be calling Allens Contruction for any further renovations or anything that they offer as a service of which I need.
