Spanish Lessons

Just starting with Jeannette. She has been a great communicator setting up and came prepared to the first session and has given me work( which I requested) for the next meeting. She spoke at a great pace for me to understand during the lesson. She used google docs while we were talking and had a white board when I couldn’t understand. It was great learning conversational and grammar at the same time. Perfect for what I was trying to find in a Spanish tutor.

Jeannette has been teaching me Spanish via Skype for over a year and a half and I can not say enough about how wonderful of a teacher she has been. She is patient, kind, and fun to work with. I Am 62 years old and have been learning Spanish with Jeannette for about 2 1/2 months. I am extremely pleased with the results so far. Her patience has given me confidence to communicate with her in Spanish during our lessons and I’m surprised at how much I have been able to speak and understand.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    My fee reflects my experience and training and my commitment to help my students get the most out of their investment. I am happy to offer a discount for multiple sessions. I teach online and I have students in various states. I also travel to my students' locations or meet them halfway in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Prior to starting the first lesson, I ask students what is their motivation to learn Spanish, what are their goals and how they process information better. With this information in mind, I plan my lessons to make the class fun and engaging. Students learn more when classes are interesting and applied to their needs.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Degree in Education, French and English from the University Mayor de Cundinamarca in Bogotá Colombia. Bachelor of Arts, major in Psychology from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. Minor in French.
