I had the pleasure of taking a lesson with Ian today, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience! As a beginner in tennis, I was a bit nervous, but Ian’s warm and encouraging demeanor instantly put me at ease.
From the moment we started, Ian demonstrated exceptional patience and a clear passion for teaching. He expertly broke down the fundamentals, ensuring I understood each aspect of the game, from grip to footwork. His tailored drills were not only effective but also fun, making the learning process enjoyable.
What I appreciated most was Ian’s ability to provide constructive feedback while celebrating my progress, no matter how small. His enthusiasm is contagious, and I left the court feeling inspired and excited to practice more.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and supportive coach to guide you through your tennis journey, I highly recommend Ian. I can’t wait for my next lesson!

My 14 year old son has been taking lessons with Ian for about a month and it's been a great experience for him. Ian is extremely patient, energetic, excellent at communicating and teaching. I can already see an improvement in my son's game. His drills are on point. He stops to make corrections on a timely basis without making it too disruptive and encourages positivity. I highly recommend his training. My son is enjoying tennis more and looks forward to every session.

After being away from the sport for nearly 20 years, I was apprehensive about getting back into something that I’d once done on a moderately competitive junior level. I wanted a coach who was highly knowledgeable and technically proficient—which I’ve found in Coach Ian. His attention to detail and instruction are top notch. As someone who’s taken countless private lessons and camps, my criteria for tennis instructors extends beyond USPTA/USTPR credentials and Coach Ian checks every box.
He’s also been helpful in providing equipment recommendations, which is immensely valuable to someone like me who hasn’t played in years or is just picking up tennis for the first time.

My family has been taking privatetennis lessons with Ian for almost one year. We enjoyed the time with him. Ian is super patient and encouraging. He pays attention to everyone’s progress and adapts his instruction to fit the individual needs. His teaching is very efficient as he can quickly nail down the point that one needs to improve. He is also energetic and keeps each of us busy during the whole lessons. I am so happy to have Ian as my tennis coach. And I highly recommend Ian to everyone that wants to learn tennis.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Coaching is by monthly membership, not single lessons. Memberships start at $1,440/month for twice-weekly 1-hour sessions (Commit). Three times a week is $2,160/month (Compete). 90-minute and 2-hour sessions are priced at the same hourly rate. Seasonal residents can apply for a Season Block built around the months they’re here. Billed month to month. Payment by Zelle, card or cash. 24-hour cancellation policy.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Send a request with where you’d train (your building, community, home court, or Riverside Park in Fort Lauderdale) and what you want to improve. If it’s a fit, we schedule your first session, where I assess your strokes, movement and match play. From there I build a plan for your game and we lock in your weekly times. Every session follows that plan, so you see real progress month to month.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a former pro tour player on the ITF Pro Circuit. I played the ITF junior tour and USTA for over 10 years, competed in 700+ career matches in 30+ countries, and held the #1 Men’s Open USTA sectional ranking in Middle States (2018). I’ve been coaching since 2016.
