Our 11 year old Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washing Machine was stuck with 14 minutes remaining, showing the "5D" error. Kris was able to come out the next day and knew the error indicated the washer was sensing suds in the system and needed to be cleared. He pulled out the hose and cleaned it, then ran a cycle. Unfortunately the washer still got stuck at 14 minutes, indicating 5D. He explained that the Cabrio's support rod tend to rust out and cause the machine to not complete a full cycle. He said he could fix the problem, but for cost he'd have to charge us, as well as the age of the washer, he'd recommend that we get a new one. Kris was honest, explained things clearly and effectively, and only charged us for the service call (and not the hose cleaning.) He showed up 5 minutes early, and was efficient in his repair and diagnostics. We would definitely call him again.
