Absolutely stellar experience — Jay is a rare find!

I rarely leave reviews, but Jay more than earned this one. I hired him to install and rewire a large chandelier that I had relocated from another house into our primary bedroom. What seemed like a straightforward project quickly became very complex — but Jay handled every challenge with professionalism, skill, and a can-do attitude that left me genuinely impressed.

He needed to run new wiring to add a switch and dimmer on the wall — but once he opened the soffit, we discovered it wasn’t empty as expected. He quickly found a creative solution to reroute the wiring, even though it involved cutting into the ceiling and wall. His patchwork after the fact was so clean and well-done, it looked like it had been finished by a drywall specialist.

On top of that, he solved a number of unexpected problems: the chandelier had to be converted from a semi-flush mount to a hanging pendant, which meant rewiring the fixture and adding extra chain and cord to get the right drop. The mounting crossbar hadn’t come with the light, but he didn’t miss a beat — he sourced a new one and made it all work beautifully.

Jay was tidy, thorough, and truly knew his craft. He explained everything along the way, kept his work area clean, and made me feel completely confident that we were in good hands. And for the level of expertise, time, and care he put into this project, I thought his pricing was incredibly fair — especially considering how much unexpected work came up along the way.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. If you’re reading this and wondering whether to hire him — do it. You’ll be in great hands.
