About

Professional musician and music teacher, located in Fort Myers and Port Charlotte, Florida. Lessons in piano, voice and guitar, tailored to fit your musical goals. I teach my students to read sheet music, chord charts and how to play by ear for a well rounded approach to playing and performing all styles of music. I have taught middle school choir, orchestra, piano and guitar for 6 years and one year of high school choir. I am now exclusively teaching private lessons, and loving it! I have performed with the national tours of Wicked, Peter Pan, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Little Mermaid, The King and I and Les Miserable. I have performed with the Charlotte Symphony and the group Il Divo, including Lea Salonga(singing voice of Jasmine in Aladdin!) for various concerts as well as many accompanying, private events. I am currently the worship leader for the contemporary service at Zion Lutheran in Fort Myers. I am also a certified Krav Maga Level I instructor and a purple belt in Gracie Jiu- Jitsu, from Gracie Humaita. Music is something you can do forever and I want to equip my students to be lifelong artists.

My daughter has been taking piano and voice lessons. She is a beginner. She loves it! She really enjoys going to lessons. She’s excited about the song selection and she is learning notes and chords on piano. Once she was going to miss a lesson because she had to quarantine. Leah suggested a zoom lesson! It worked out great! It’s like she was right in our living room. We are very pleased with our daughters progress and her excitement about music. I know Leah has so much to do with that! A+. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A in Music Education and Piano Performance. I have taught music for 7 years and am a professional musician, playing for broadway shows, singing for events and leading worship bands.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I taught orchestra, piano, choir and guitar for 6 years at a middle school and one year of high school choir. Now I teach private lessons in music and also self defense in Jiu-jitsu/Krav Maga.
