FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We work with any type of insurance using our sliding-fee scale. This significantly reduces session to about half the cost (often similar in price to a copay). This gives us the freedom to focus on whole-person and faith-based care rather than insurance restrictions. Many of our clients successfully use out-of-network benefits, HSA, FSA and we’re happy to provide a superbill for reimbursement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team combines both professional training and personal experience to support clients with care and expertise. Eric Gilbert, our founder, has a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and certifications in proven treatment methods. Other team members bring backgrounds in psychology, education, applied behavior analysis, hypnotherapy, breathwork, trauma-informed care, and Christian mentorship. Together, we use this blend of knowledge and training to help individuals, couples, and families find calm, confidence, and healing.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Eric Gilbert, the director of Rising Calm, struggled with anxiety as a child. Through counseling, he and his family discovered effective ways to calm anxiety, which helped him grow in confidence, improve academically, and manage challenges more effectively. Over time, Eric developed what he calls the Rising Calm process—an approach that helped him rise above anxiety and transform stressful moments into opportunities for growth. Building on this personal experience, along with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and specialized treatment certifications, Eric has guided many children and adults toward greater calm and confidence.
