Introduction
I am an advanced practice psychiatric clinical nurse specialist (APRN, CNS) with a master's degree (MSN) in Child/Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. I am also board certified as an Adult Psychiatric CNS. My clinical therapeutic work stands out because, as a nurse, I am educated to assess and approach my clients holistically. This means, I consider all aspects of a person's well-being; physiological (eating, sleeping, self-care, exercise), emotional, spiritual, and environmental. I evaluate the effectiveness of prescribed meds, provide teaching, and communicate directly with the client's primary health care provider as needed. I enjoy helping others feel better about themselves and their lives.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I understand that not everyone can afford counseling, even if they have health insurance or other benefits. My philosophy is that if someone wants help, and cannot afford it, that I will do whatever I can to make my professional fee manageable for them. I try not to turn away anyone due to financial need.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a lifelong learner by choice and also adhere to all mandatory continuing education and certification requirements related to my profession as an RN and CNS. I read current research and literature, participate in webinars, and frequently attend conferences to stay current with the latest information related to psychiatry, counseling, and to nursing.
