- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually I focus on understanding the customer’s vision. Once I have that we can begin to exchange ideas. Communication is key!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A colleague and I were in need of product photos for a small business we were trying to launch. I had a bit of experience and owned a camera so I took on the task. To our surprise the results were better than we hoped. The thrill of learning made we want to take on more work, eventually I quit my job and began doing it full time.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I had a lot of fun with a recent product photoshoot for an online retail store. We used three models, a seamless backdrop, and off camera flash to soften things up. It was a fun and successful project I think especially because of the great communication by the owner of the store.
