FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My company has a $100 minimum fee for our labor to come out and do a project. The reason for this price is to cover all the aspects of running my business. From our insurance and liability cost to our fuel and man power to fulfill our job duties. This minimum fee also includes our workmanship warranty that comes with every job that we do. It really goes back to the old saying cheap labor isn’t skilled and skilled labor isn’t cheap. You have my word that your money will be well spent on a company that is worth the money you invest. Your home is a product that has ever lasting value and deserves to have the best you can give it. There’s an old saying you get what you pay for. We stand by that motto. Each project is unique in its own way and we have flat rate fees and a pricing system to price each job that we do. Occasionally, a project can be charged by the hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We are unique in the sense that we are a handyman business that has an online website that is very detailed and allows potential clients to see our past work , see references, and conveniently schedule their free estimate with us from our website without the hassle of the back-and-forth conversations of figuring out schedules between the client and us. When I come to a clients house I am very detailed in every aspect of what the client is suggesting they would like us to do for them and I always look for things that I can suggest to the client that they may not have considered. We typically return an emailed estimate to our clients within 24 to 48 hours depending on the complexity of the job. We always work on our projects under a written contract with the client to protect both the client and ourselves within the legalities. We offer warranties with our work and I consistently stay in communication with the client throughout the process so they are well aware of everything we’re doing. I never cut corners when doing a project and I discuss any potential problems with the project directly to the client so that the client and myself can come up with a solution to attain our main objective which is to give them the absolute best product at an affordable price.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
For 25 years I have grown from a Carpenter to a drywall finisher to a flooring specialist. I have learned the plumbing trade as well as the electrical aspects of construction. I have grown tremendously over the course of the past 10 years as a project manager and for the past 13 years I have built a company that has been voted a top three handyman business in Polk County in 2017. I have been a top pro on Thumbtack in 2016 and looking forward to returning as a top pro this year. 2020 was another Best of Best for us.
