    He came late.. He never organized anything to entertain the kids. He did not play the songs requested in advance. He simply sat there and played the songs he felt were appropriate. Very disappointed. No personality at all.

    Client booked DJ and paid for 4hrs from 5pm to 9pm we give one hour free setup to begin at 4:00pm. Client did not want to pay for extra hour and needed DJ to be setup at 3:00pm. DJ arrived at 4:02pm and was not late and was waiting in his van close to 2hrs in the heavy rain. DJ looked inside room and saw Bat Mitzvah service it started from 4:06pm to 5:55pm per our agreement DJ could not setup at 4:00pm due to ceremony. Per our agreement DJ needed 10x15 space for equipment, client stuck tables for guests all around the DJ setup area. We have photos, the area was so small there was not even place for the kids or anyone to dance. Client did not fill out request forms on our website, they sent us hard to read pdf file of an I-tunes list with 250 songs for 4 hour event. Most of the songs were played, the songs were rock and non dance tunes. Kids were chasing each other and playing outside the clubhouse. Client did not follow DJs timeline and guests were eating from 6:15pm-to 8:45pm Client did not pay for MC to play games, if we were to play games, there was no room or area since DJ was stuck again between tables. Client's main concern was to eat all night. The clubhouse was small with no place to move.

    Party Specialist did a very good job. Everyone had a great time and couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had dancing. They did play everything requested. I would definitely recommend them and use them in the future.

    "Party Specialists" was providing entertainment for our wedding. We couldn't have made a better choice! DJ Bruce was just outstanding! Professional, knowledgeable and on time. Provided us with good advice and had the party dancing non-stop for hours. Great up lighting for the reception and excellent quality of sound! Great music selection, everything we requested and much more. He also accommodated with guest requests. Highly recommend!

    Everyone enjoyed the music and entertainment (with the exception of one "rap" song(/). The light ball was a hit also. Arrival was late (but traffic has been awful), but DJ made up for it by going over allotted time. Thanks for a job well done.

    DJ Bruce did our New Years party and it was fantastic. Several of my guests came up to me throughout the night to tell me how great the DJ was and that they hadn't been to a party with such great music before. Bruce took everyone's requests, mixed songs together and had music in English, Spanish, Russian and Farsi, just as we requested and even adding songs we didn't know. Guests of all ages were on their feet, dancing, and nobody was disappointed by the music. Bruce was very nice, set up early, and was able to fit his system in our small living room. He got on the microphone to do the countdown and was enthusiastic on the mic throughout the night as well as making guests laugh. Would recommend Party Specialists to anyone for a memorable party!

    The DJ is a nice person but it was pretty universal from all my guests that the performance was subpar. A lot of dead air, very awkward transitions, the non requested songs he played were dated to say the least and in very poor taste. He did not have very good situational awareness as he stood directly in front of my stationary camera so now for the rest of my life for there will be no video coverage of my vow exchange. I paid for two stations to be set up but he can only connect to one at a time so half the wedding party had to stand around in silence. I spoke to every guest and even with a weather delay the only complaint I had all night was about the DJ. As a person he did not seem bad but as a DJ he left much to be desired. I am sure in time he can work through these issues and may one day be a really good DJ. He did a great job finding obscure songs that I requested so I would have to say that is one positive but if I had the chance I would have let him cut his teeth elsewhere. Maybe great for parties but I would not recommend for once in a lifetime events like weddings.

    Client booked for DJ, two sound systems, uplighting, & karaoke less than 72 hours before the event date, paperwork and timeline was sent less than 24 hours from event date.

    We requested paperwork by fax or email it was texted. Venue requested DJ to setup at 5pm, outside ceremony to start at 6:30pm I arrived at 4:40pm with heavy rain and hail storms, streets flooded and underwater.

    Per our agreement in the contract we could not unload our equipment due to client's other vendor truck blocking us from getting inside. They did not want to move their truck and we asked them few times, they left at 5:45pm.

    This now give me 45 mins to setup for ceremony, reception,uplighting with karaoke. Venue staff moved the ceremony to another area outside to avoid the rain and bad weather conditions, client demanded to still be outside and it was still raining. There was never a rain call set by the venue.

    If there was no issue with rain, the cocktail hour would have been in another area outside and it would have needed 3rd additional sound system, Client knew less than 24 hours before and did not want to pay. Venue had me setup in the restaurant in a dark room, I asked for the lights to be put on so I could see how to setup and they did nothing.

    Videographer and myself were both in this dark room with very little room to work with. I had no space to move around as to not get in the way of his video cam. Videographer told me he had two video cams running at the same time and he would do edits to correct the issue with me getting in the way.

    Since there was delay due to not only me getting in the venue, the staff had to reset up chairs for ceremony and dry everything from the rain, clients guests did not want to go outside it was still raining. Ask any DJ service music is played 15 mins before the start of the ceremony, client asked for music to be played in reception room. We were not ready for music to be played in the reception room again due to delay. Maybe that's what he means by dead air.

    There was never any dead air, at anytime at this event. The sound was at normal level during dinner, most of the time at weddings people want to speak and hear each other,client requested current top 40 and 90's and slow R&B, guests were asking for requests and I played some to make them happy.

    What the client did not say in his review how much of his guests and both of the couple were dancing and karaoke singing, guests coming up to me saying how much fun they are having.

    I went up to Patrick and Michael and asked them many times how is everything and both smiled and said wonderful. Michael made sure the staff gave me dinner. My question is why leave this review and not say anything at the event?

    Some people are just impossible to please. We always like to satisfy our clients and we have a huge referral base. Please refer to our many great reviews, video testimonials here and on the web.

    As the saying goes, you can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time. "But we do try our very best"

    I hired Party Specialist for the first time for my daughter's Sweet 16 party. Bruce was our DJ and he was great! He was early for setup and started the music right on time. He was very professional and the teenagers loved him. The kids were dancing the whole night and interacting with Bruce. Bruce loved taking requests from the kids and made it so much fun for them by playing music from different eras. If you are looking for a great DJ, we highly recommend him.

    I had an engagement party and Bruce was my DJ from Party Specialists. Bruce did an outstanding job!! He was so helpful in helping me decide on what type of music, and laying out the plans to my engagement. I was so scared that nobody would dance or show any enthusiasm, but Bruce was so great everybody was dancing from start to end! I am DEFINITELY hiring Party Specialists for my wedding and I want Bruce as my DJ.

A. Anyone can go out and pick up speakers and cd's players and say they are DJ but not everyone can do Weddings and other events, some don't even know to speak and talk on the mic.

A. Not all Disc Jockey's are the same you get what you pay for. Most DJs Don't know how to do a Wedding or Bar Mitzvah, they are clueless. Most don't even have a Microphone or talk on the Mic. The sound system is not just about bass, you will still have broken down system with bad sound and a lot of noise.

A. There are a lot of bad DJs out there, in this day and age anyone can get a cheap laptop download music and pick up speakers and say they are DJ service.

A. Celebrating 75th Wedding Anniversary of Holocaust Survivors, it was very emotional and amazing evening to see all their friends and family members down to the great grand children all get together for this special night.

A. We stay updated with what is going on in our line of work, to make sure you are getting modern DJ.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. We always keep updated with the latest equipment, in a few years we might be seeing DJ's using IPADs We are seeing wireless lights, speakers and smaller compact sound systems.

A. Setting up event for married couple that was celebrating their 75th Wedding Anniversary.
we had DJ lighting, and live entertainment.

A. Prices are based on what has to be done and time. Most people don't like packages, they end up cutting from here and there.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. You must have a love of music, you must know a lot about the artists and music you are going to play, you must have a good collection of music. Nice DJ system and speakers that have clear sound. It's not about the bass. Most DJ's thing if they turn up the bass they are going to have anyone say wow what a great DJ.

A. Great Customer Service, we always stay in touch with out clients to go over their event and to make sure everything runs smooth

A. We are always updating our sound and lighting equipment for 2015, don't be fooled by broken down DJ setups and old par can Halogen Bulbs

A. What is Uplighting? It's LED and most of the time wireless fixtures that sit around the room close to the walls and beam a color up to the ceiling.
