Maryelis Lovely Pets is hands down the best pet grooming store i've been to. They took really good care of my Miniature Pinscher, he came out looking so handsome with his bandana and smelling great. Whenever i'm not able to go to the store, luckily, they have a mobile grooming service and i can just call them and they come whenever i'm available. I definitely recommend them, if there were more stars i'd rate them more.

I started working with Mona even before we got our dog, Belle. Mona helped us choose the right puppy for us to get us started on the right foot, and she helped us make a "puppy plan" so that things weren't so overwhelming for us as first-time dog owners. She even went shopping with us at the pet supply store to help us choose what would help us and what we wouldn't really need. And that was before the training even started! It just goes to show how dedicated Mona is to making sure that her clients and their dogs have positive, happy relationships - she thinks of every detail and helps with everything, even if it's above and beyond her job description. Her training was clear, at a good pace, and not too complicated. Belle really responded to her, and she explained everything to us in a way that made us understand Belle better, too. We've left Belle with Mona overnight and we were always confident that Belle was not only totally safe, but also having a fun time even if we couldn't be there with her. I'm only sorry we don't live in the same city as Mona anymore! But we all, including Belle, look forward to visiting her soon, and we recommend her services to all other animal lovers.

I was very happy with our pet dog's first stay with Mel - she texted me regularly with updates and I felt reassured that he was being looked after well. I have already booked him in to stay with her again.

Megan is exceptional. She has been essentially co-parenting my Puppy since I got him 4 months ago. She has house trained him and has helped educate an exceptionally vibrant Jack Russell Terrier. She is always extremely accommodating both in her training approach as well as in boarding him when I travel, many times on short notice. I would highly recommend Megan and I'm sure my dog Melo would as well based on his enthusiasm every time he sees Megan.

My dogs love Tylie, you can tell she really cares about your pets. My older dog has visited TLC for some time now - for grooming, daycare and boarding. We’ve now taken our new puppy there for almost 3 weeks and we’re very happy with the progress she’s made so far! Tylie is not only training her during daycare, but she helps give us guidance on how to train her at home too!

while traveling in miami, i ended up adopting 2 dogs. since i was staying in a hotel i had to find a cage-free dog boarder willing to take the two on in a hurry. daisy came thru - responded immediately to my inquiry - provided cage free dog sitting for bennet & darcy. she even sent me daily photos of their antics & was amenable to accommodating visits at odd hours. I couldn't be more grateful thank you, daisy.

Christine always takes great care of my three dogs, Luna and Lily, my American Bulldogs and Bella, my toy fox terrier. She knows she has to feed the seperatly to avoid one of them eating the others food and she always give them all a lot of attention! They love seeing Christine!

About

Out of the great passion and love for animals of two good friends, a small yet singular project called Petspa began. With 13 years of vet technician experience and a handful of coins, Petspa was born December of 2000. The dream to begin a small unique company, with a passion for service and great love for pets, had become a reality. From the beginning, Petspa became a preferred grooming place for dogs and cats. Thanks to its clients, PetSpa quickly gained an excellent reputation in the city of Doral as well as in Miami, Brickell and Coral Gables. Its groomers not only have an extensive training in all the different breeds but are also committed to treat pets lovingly as if they were their own. The staff definitely loves what they do and strive for perfection in every service offered. Many owners already know that their pets are part of the Petspa family. The new day care service, added by popular demand, clearly states that. A luxurious pet hotel, a state-of-the-art grooming facilities and a beautiful boutique are added features that make Petspa a unique environment where furry guests enjoy a good time with friends and their owners with peace of mind.

I offer animal care and service, and I take care of the needs of animals. I give food, drink, brush, bath and army pets. The job's duties vary by position and workplace. I clean equipment and animals living areas. I monitor animals and record information such as your diet, fitness and behavior, army to animals and play with the animals. I provide them company and observe behavioral changes that could indicate illness or injury. I care for animals while their owners are away. I go to the house of the pet owner, which allows the animal to remain in their home environment and continue with your routine. Most pet day care workers feed, walk and play with the pets.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does boarding a horse cost?

Finding the right horse boarding location is a big step in a horse owner’s life. This will be the place your horse will live and where you will visit multiple times per week or even daily. The cost of horse boarding will depend on the level of service you desire, the location of the stables, and the luxury level of the property. Here are some examples of average horse boarding costs:

  • Overnight stabling: $30 per horse per night.
  • Partial boarding (owner feeds and mucks): $220 per horse per month, with a three-month commitment.
    • Administration of oral medication: $10 per dose.
    • Bandaging: $20 per event, plus cost of materials.
    • Trailering to vet if owner is unable: $25, plus $25 per hour to wait with horse.
  • Basic full boarding: $325-$350 per month per horse. Includes twice daily hay and daily stall cleaning.
    • Horse training: $20 per session.
    • Pasture turn out: $20 per session.
    • Blanketing: $1 per day/$30 per month.
    • Vet or farrier hold: $20. This means haltering the horse and standing with it as it receives treatment or shoeing.

Where can I board my horse?

You can board your horse at any barn or stable that provides horse boarding services. To find horse boarding near you, read reviews of area locations and speak with equestrian friends to find one with a solid reputation. Ideally, the location will be within a reasonable drive from your home or office. This is especially important if you are paying for partial boarding services and are responsible for feeding your horse and cleaning its stall each day. You may choose your boarding barn or stables based on the services they provide. Some offer more extensive amenities — at an added price — that reduce the amount of work you need to do to keep your horse comfortable. Consider whether you want training, blanketing, exercise and other perks in addition to standard offerings like hay and stable mucking. Your stable may have temperament requirements and proof that your horse has the proper vaccinations required by your state. This protects both your horse and the other horses in the stable. Many states require that locations offering horse boarding services have stable licenses that are renewed each year. Always be sure to enter into a clearly written boarding contract that will cover your horse and belongings in case of accident, and remember our tips for smart hiring.

What is horse boarding?

Horse boarding is like rental housing for your horse. Horse boarding is helpful for people who don’t have the space or the resources to install and maintain a stable on their property. A horse can be housed in a barn with other horses and receive the care they need. Owners can visit their horse for riding, grooming, training, etc. Horse boarding services may vary based on the company and the price. Some horse boarders may offer short-term boarding of 24 hours to several nights for people passing through an area, while most offer boarding by the month for horses whose owners live in the area. There is partial- and full-service boarding, which indicates how much of the work of feeding the horse and cleaning the stall is the responsibility of the owner rather than the boarding barn. For an added fee, horse boarding can also include grooming services, riding and training, medication administration, and more.

To find the right boarding fit for you and your horse, make a list of your top priorities. These might include immediate access to riding trails, round-the-clock supervision, or a nearby or affiliated veterinarian. Always visit the site to learn exactly where your horse will be kept and whether the barn and grounds are in good condition. Read reviews, and always practice smart hiring. It’s also critical to sign the proper legal documents that protect both you and your horse, such as boarding agreements. Above all, make sure it seems like a place your horse will be comfortable between your visits.
