FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on deadline and length of document. Typically, for a 24-hour return, I charge $0.05 per word or $30/hr. I am always open to price negotiations.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For most projects, I follow the process below. If the project is on a more personal level, such as a book, I like to converse with the client in person (via phone, Skype, or a meeting if in the same area). Hearing a writer's voice helps me to get a clearer understanding of the passion behind his/her writing so that I don't stray far from or alter his/her intended meaning. 1. Obtain details of the project from the client. 2. Briefly review the project to determine the time I will need and if any revisions will be required. 3. Establish a set deadline and pricing. 4. If the prior steps are done within the first day, I begin editing the following day (if permissible).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Education: BS in Chemistry Work Experience: PETA, EasyEdition Technology Service Co., Cambridge Proofreading, and University of North Florida
