Introduction: "Manfred" and "Risky Business" are the names that were given to the first dogs I ever loved as a young girl. When my mom and aunt welcomed a toy apricot-colored Poodle to the apartment they shared with a toddler (me), my grandfather asserted that having a puppy at this time in our lives would be "risky business". Risky was this Poodle pup's name from that day forward. Grandpa later got Risky a friend; a smooth-haired fox terrier called, Manfred. In 2011, Grandpa passed away, but today, I carry on his memory with the business of dogs and training. Deeply ingrained inside me are the memories and fond experiences of training as a child with my grandfather.
I am a transplant of 6 years from the Chicagoland area where I worked for a canine training facility and managed a canine care company. My business is humans and the pets that they love. I am rewarded with the relationships grown and peace it brings me to be among animals. My personal goal is to bring awareness and foster communication between the human and animal species. I aim to assist animal lovers in various ways to facilitate the best possible care for each unique creature. I pride myself on being adaptable and accommodating.
Dogs have been my passion since I was able to walk. Much of my professional and personal life has been spent working towards the mastery of understand canines and caring for them with intention. I value respect for animals both domestic and wild. As a result of deeply understanding dogs on a primal basis, I have developed an unspoken language of understanding of the animal on both an emotional and instinctual level. From this space of instinct I offer training consultations designed to assist you in creating a symbiotic relationship with your companion. While I do teach basic and advanced commands, I do not offer standard obedience training. Because animals have a right to their own autonomy I focus on providing you with all of the information you'll need to create an atmosphere and lifestyle that is aligned to what your dog truly needs to live a balanced healthy life. This outline will take care of MANY common behavior issues!
Additionally, I offer unique daycare opportunities for a few good dogs! A dog needs the kind of stimulation that only real, wild nature can bring! New smells, new sights, and the ability to roam are essential and non-negotiable basic needs for most canine creatures. The best gift of love and care you can give your dog is as much time as possible living and experiencing life in the great outdoors. My day care is 100% exploration based. Your dog can live it's best life on trails, in the woods, at the beach or dog parks based on her or his individuality and unique needs!
