Amy tutored our children in grades 4 through 7. Amy is an awesome teacher and a lovely person. She is wise and supportive and she has had a lasting positive impact on the way our children approach school. Her kind, joyful and respectful approach created a safe environment in which our children became open to breaking down learning challenges. Amy invested time in understanding the needs of our children. She then used her skills and experience to support and motivate each child on the path to understanding and confidence. Amy quickly isolated the step or concept that was needed to be successful and then taught it in a positive and reinforcing way. Amy honored my children's sensitivities which helped them to be very engaged in their tutoring sessions. Each lesson was productive. My children benefitted both academically and in terms of classroom confidence from the lessons they learned at Amy's kitchen table. My only regret is that we no longer live in the same part of the country as Amy. Amy's Tutoring has earned an A+ from our family.

Amy has tutored my two boys since they were in elementary school. They are both in high school now and continue to tutor with Amy. Amy is a very patient, kind, caring and respectful. She truly wants each and every child to succeed. She understands that each child is different and crafts her sessions to accommodate their needs. My boys have benefited academically as well as improved self confidence with Amy's lessons. She has given them learning skills that I see them using for SAT prep and other classes. I would without a doubt recommend Amy. She has made a world of difference for our family.

Amy began tutoring our son in his 6th grade year. At that point he was performing at approximately a 2nd grade level. Amy presented a practical, yet creative tutoring approach. She immediately formed a positive relationship with our son and quickly and accurately determined the source of his learning difficulties. She worked with him in a constructive manner making the most of each session. She had a patient and encouraging demeanor. Amy had the ability to mix fun with work and kept my son’s attention, as well as instill in him a desire for success. She managed to include his interests and use them to create positive learning experiences. Amy gave him confidence and greatly increased his self-esteem. Within 18 months our son was back up to grade level. Amy had made such a distinct and measurable difference in his performance. Before we went to Amy we were told our son would never make it to college. We are pleased to say that he is now a sophomore in college working toward his goal of attending law school. I cannot say enough about Amy’s expertise and whole-heartedly recommend her tutoring services as being the highest quality.
