Larry did an OUTSTANDING job installing the wallpaper in my home. He was professional, punctual, and very quick without affecting the quality of his work all at the best pricing I found in Jacksonville. I would recommend Larry to anyone looking to have wallpaper hung in their home.

Britt was such a wonderful and knowledgable individual. I originally hired him to remove old wallpaper and hang new, but decided to go with paint instead. He informed me of the steps necessary to ensure for a quality job and even supplied me with the paint at a cheaper price than i would have gotten it for. Cleaned up everything and was very respectful and professional. I will not hesitate to hire again!

I had a great experience with Urban Renewal Home. I had a large wall mural 9' x 9' that I wanted hung in my foyer. It is pretty graphic and matching design elements from one panel to another was very important. Jeff came over one morning and was able to get the whole thing done in about 2 - 2.5 hours. He was quick and the install looks great! I will definitely use him again for future wallpapering needs. Highly recommend.

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is the best way to remove wallpaper?

There are several proven methods for wallpaper removal; each has its pros and cons, but some are definitely easier. Peeling is usually the least painful, followed by soaking and stripping. Dry-stripping is the next most time-consuming, and steaming the most work. The average wallpaper removal job costs between $360 and $560. The method of removal can affect the cost, as steaming takes longer than peeling and will therefore typically cost more. Peeling wallpaper off is usually the quickest method. To see if your wallpaper can be peeled off, try gently edging up a corner and carefully peeling the paper off the wall in strips. If you can’t peel, then you’ll have to score and strip it, either by dry-stripping or by soaking and then stripping. Plaster walls can withstand moisture and can stand up to soaking and stripping, but drywall should not be soaked. For very stubborn wallpaper, steaming may be necessary, which is time-consuming but effective. If you prefer not to attempt these methods yourself, wallpaper removal pros have the proper tools and experience to quickly take down wallpaper and also repair any damage to your walls.
