Introduction: We are Celebrate & Smile International (CSI)- Jacksonville, FL. My husband and I teach smooth Chicago Stepping partner dancing. I have always love to dance. Chicago Stepping, a partner dance, was introduced to me 17 years ago and I been teaching for 15 years. Chicago Stepping is taught using a 3 beat, 8 count rhythm and "NO" you do not need a partner to learn. Currently, weekly, group, and private lessons are available. It's great for fun, exercise, a hobby, stress release, mental health, body toning, weight loss, cardio, social engagement, wedding dance and increasing communication skills. I am very structured and work well with any dance level.

For the past year, my husband and I have been receiving Chicago Style Steppin group classroom and private couple's instruction from this great husband and wife team. The Barksdale's level of professionalism, knowledge, and understanding of this particular area of dance is unrivaled. We, my husband and I, have participated in various Chicago Style Steppin group classes throughout the past 3 years. However, my husband, nor I were able to truly see any genuine growth until we began taking group classes and receiving private instruction from the Barksdales. If you are an interested beginner, intermediate, or "seasoned" student of the dance looking for a place where you can receive sound, knowledgeable, and fundamental Chicago Style Steppin instruction in an atmosphere surrounded by positivity, care, support, and teamwork ... I am new to Chicago Steppin and started lessons a few weeks ago. The lessons are fun and a good workout. I still have a lot to learn but I’m actually dancing! Tiffany is very knowledgeable and a great dancer, she inspires me that I can become a great dancer too. She is kind and personable, as is everyone I’ve met associated with the group! I look forward to class each week!!

I’ve been taking Chicago Style Steppin lessons with CELEBRATE and Smile for over a year, and my experience has been enlightening, and they’ve certainly helped me and my husband build up our confidence in this dance. The husband and wife team is a plus, essentially because you get two skilled and seasoned steppers all in one session. Both are very friendly, kind, respectful and patient, which is the most important attribute in this dance.

Second 6-week session complete. Each session builds upon the last. So much fun! The weekly classes and monthly sets are always engaging, fun! Great value for money and time! Highly recommended!
