FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are offered via phone, online and in person. Message me with your dog's information - age, breed, how long you've had him and let me know what services you need. Once I receive your information, I'll create a package of lessons designed for your needs. Training packages can be as few as 2 lessons or they can be ongoing as needed. For example, My Puppy Passport Package is an 10 week program, with the first lesson done online via Zoom. All packages include my printed Training Guides for you to keep for reference, and a solid wood Skills Training box ($100 value) for you to keep . Each lesson is 1 hour, with lessons starting at $90/hour (pacakge rate) per dog. I offer a further discounted rate for more than 1 dog at 1 location. Non-package Lesson rates start at $120/hour depending on the service required. All packages are paid for in-full, and in advance. Payments must be made within 24 hours of scheduling to reserve your booking. My schedule fills fast, and is on a first-come, first-served basis. I accept cash, Square, Venmo or Zelle, or direct payment via my website, Grace With Dogs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, send me a message telling me about your dog and what services you need. The more details the better! I'll answer your questions and we'll make a plan for training your dog. Second, we schedule our lessons. I offer phone, online and in-person sessions. Third, I will send you a welcome packet and invoice. Paying your invoice secures your booking. Full payment for your package must be received within 24 hrs of booking to reserve your lesson slot. Fourth, I travel to you and we train your dog!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My interest in animal behavior started while earning my BA in Psychology at Georgetown University. I was a Veterinary Technician for almost two decades, and earned my Certification in Professional Dog Training. I'm also a Professional Member of the IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals).
