FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CYT-200. That means I’m a Certified Yoga Teacher with 200 hours of *official* yoga training. This doesn’t include the multitude of continuing education courses I’ve taken over the years or the personal hours I spend learning about the industry, reading and rereading texts, etc.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The Short Version- Sad, anxious girl cultivates joy through yoga and helps others be more mindful, joyous & present. The Long Version- I went to Penn State (main campus) as an Art Ed major in 2009 and graduated with a BA in Print Journalism and a minor in Psychology in 2013. Got a basic admin job out of college, boss made me cry on my birthday which gave me the umph I needed to travel New Zealand and Australia for the next few years, moved back in with mom & dad this time in Florida in 2017. I kept following my passions instead of other peoples idea of what my success should look like and now I own my own private yoga business!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My longest client and I have just recently celebrated our 2 year workiversary! The biggest change I’ve seen while working together is seeing my client go from struggling to take 30 SECONDS a day to relax and breathe to actually enjoying, and even looking forward to, a 10 minute savasana.
