FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
ALL COMMISSIONS ARE NEGOTIABLE. Of course Realtor’s can stick to their own rate, but we are not allowed to discuss “standard commissions”. It is customary that Sellers/landlords pay the entire commission, so services to buyers are free and they should take advantage and get separate representation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discussing a customers timeline and needs and wants should always come first. Next, unless a buyer is paying cash for a property, if I’m working with the buyer, I’ll ask them to get a letter of approval from their bank or a trusted mortgage lender. I can always make recommendations if needed. If I’m working with a seller we usually discuss what needs to be done to the property to get it ready for showings!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides holding my FL Salespersons license since 1998, I have degrees in Spanish and International Relations. Some people say it’s a shame I don’t use them. I laugh and say that in my market I use them EVERYDAY. I find welcoming customers from other countries to be the most interesting even though it’s sometimes the most challenging!
