I did a DIY project and got paint all over my floors. Other people i tried were slow to respond, had a ridiculous estimate, or never showed up. Mauricio was prompt, reasonably priced, and professional. My floors look so much better! I will definitely use him again and have already referred him to friends.

I called Master Paint Of Florida and spoke with Mauricio, the owner. He came out the same day and gave me a quote. It was a very fair price and told him OK. He was out 4 days later with his crew to do the painting. The painting was for portions of the house after the re-roofing and it matched perfectly. Every thing was cleaned when they left. I will definitely Call Master Paint Of Florida with my next painting job.

If there’s one review you read about Master Paint of Florida, let it be this one. I’ve written this in the simplest, scannable format so it’s worth your time—and even if you only skim, you’ll still walk away with the essentials. Where I heard about them: Thumbtack What I purchased: A $30,000 Interior & Exterior Home Project Included demolition and construction Why I chose to work with them: Owner: Mauricio (aka Oscar Solano) Had fewer than 5 vague 5-star reviews on Thumbtack He seemed professional at first: Returned phone calls promptly Showed up for site visits on time When I voiced concern about his lack of reviews: He claimed 20+ years of experience I doubted this (no Google reviews either) But as a business owner of 17 years, I gave him grace I asked for referrals instead of reviews What I wasn’t aware of: Unbenkownst to me, one referral he gave me was actually his son-in-law (a police officer)—not an impartial reference. What he is NOT capable of doing: Attention to Detail Removed a wall and part of my ceiling, but failed to level it (despite multiple attempts). Popcorn ceiling didn’t match—he didn’t notice until I pointed it out. Painted bathroom cabinets, but did not paint inside of them. Removed blinds, broke the chain when reinstalling, and never fixed it. Gave me cabinets for my son that looked nothing like the inspiration I showed him. Time Management: Did not meet the promised timeframe—not even close. He set false expectations: Interior: promised 5-7 days Exterior: promised 10 days Job started June 9th, 2025. As of now, outdoor kitchen has never been started. How he will treat you Speaks calmly and politely Says yes to everything Pleads with you to let him “make it right” On the surface: seems nice and genuine In reality: avoids owning his shortcomings, buys time out of fear and desperation How working with him will make you feel Exhausted Disappointed Angry Sad Was he willing to resolve matters? Yes, but really no. He begged for more time and grace repeatedly. Used emotional appeals: “Money isn’t important to me.” “I believe in God and would never do anyone wrong.” These words sound believable, but his actions proved otherwise. The reality: He used my money on other projects Couldn’t deliver on promises Tried to cover failure with excuses, delays, and desperation Bottom line: If you’re considering hiring Master Paint of Florida, know that while the owner is pleasant and agreeable, the lack of skill, accountability, and honesty will likely cost you time, money, and peace of mind.
