How do I hire the best fence professional in Miami?

Conducting an online search makes it easy to find the best fencing professional in Miami. This way, you can compare ratings, reviews and estimates. Look for customer reviews that include photos so you can get a sense of the pros’ quality of work.

You should also check Florida’s Construction Industry Licensing Board to see if the pros you’re considering are licensed. After you’ve chosen a shortlist of pros in Miami, compare estimates among them to make your decision.

Who installs fences?

Fencing contractors are the best choice when you want to have a fence installed on your property. While there are several types of professionals who can likely handle this service — including handymen, landscapers and general contractors — a fencing contractor has the experience to know what could cause potential problems in the long run. This might include wet spots, vegetation or other issues with the land.

When choosing a professional to install a fence on your property, make sure they have credentials and experience.

What's the cheapest fence to install?

The cheapest type of fence to install is (usually) a chain-link fence. Averaging between $7 and $12 per linear foot, this type of fencing is strong and secure and allows homeowners to maintain visibility while adding protection to their property. Chain-link fences are constructed from steel coated in aluminum, vinyl or zinc for weather resistance.

You can get a more accurate cost estimate for your chain-link fence by contacting professionals who specialize in installing these fences.

Read our cost guide on fence installation costs to see prices for other types of fences.

How much does it cost to put up a chain-link fence?

Chain-link fence is one of the most affordable options for adding safety and value to your home or business. The national average chain-link fence installation cost is $2,750. Chain-link fences are relatively simple for the pros to install; a fence of less than 150 linear feet can often be put up in under one day. A good rule of thumb is to add an additional workday for each additional 100 linear feet of fence to be installed.

Chain-link fence installation costs are affected by the fluctuating cost of steel, regional labor rates, the height of fence you select, and the features you select, such as a powder-coated finish. The industry standard is galvanized steel, which is rust- and corrosion-resistant. Galvanized chain-link fence installation cost, including labor and materials, is typically $12 per linear foot. For a more contemporary and elegant option, black powder-coated galvanized chain-link fence might cost approximately $15 per linear foot on average, including materials and labor. For industrial sites or businesses, 10-foot-high galvanized chain-link fences may provide additional security, but also have an added cost. A 10-foot-high chain-link fence could cost $17-$18 per linear foot, including labor and materials.

How much does it cost to install a wood fence?

Help define your property line, protect your home and yard, and boost your curb appeal with a new wood fence. The national average for wood fence installation cost is $3,250. Wood fence installation costs will vary based on your geographic location, the type of wood you select, the height and style of wood fence you desire, and the condition of your property. Pressure-treated pine is a common and attractive choice that is usually resilient against rot and bugs. Cedar is another budget-friendly option that, although more expensive than pressure-treated pine, can be more affordable than redwood or teak. A wood fence requires maintenance to ensure its long-term health and beauty, so keep future staining and painting costs in mind when you’re calculating fence installation costs. Here are some examples of how height and material affect the approximate cost of wood fences:

  • 6-foot-high, pressure-treated pine fence: $15-$17 per linear foot.
  • 4-foot-high, pressure-treated pine fence: $13-$20 per linear foot.
  • Cedar fence: $18-$25 per linear foot.
  • 6-foot-high, double-sided (meaning both sides are uniform), pressure-treated pine fence with 6x6 posts: $25 per linear foot.
  • 12-foot-high, pressure-treated pine fence with custom detailing: $75 per linear foot.
  • 6-foot-high, pressure-treated pine fence with a custom lattice top: $30-$50 per linear foot.

How much does it cost to install a fence gate?

Adding a gate to your fence can be a practical way to provide access to a yard, work area or outdoor living space while ensuring safety and privacy. Gate installation costs will vary based on the gate material you select, the size of your gate, whether you install a fence at the same time, and any special features you’d like to add. Standard opening size for a single-wide gate is 4 feet; a double-wide gate is 8 feet. A small gate may be for decoration; a double-wide gate can be mounted on a rolling caster system to allow access for cars or wide loads. Here are some examples of average fence gate installation costs:

  • 4-foot, single-swing chain-link gate: $100 for materials and installation costs.
  • 28-foot wheeled chain-link gate on a caster system: $800-$1,000 for materials and installation costs.
  • 4-foot, single-swing wood gate: $75.
  • 8-foot double-wide wood gate: $150.
  • 4-foot white vinyl walk-through gate: $300–$400 for materials and installation costs.
  • 8-foot, double-wide white vinyl gate: about $800 for materials and installation costs.
  • White vinyl gate fence more than 8 feet wide: $1,200-$1,500 for materials and installation.
  • Arched black powder-coated aluminum pool gates: $175-$200 per gate.

Does adding a fence increase property value?

Fencing may increase the value of your property. However, this depends on what type of fence is installed and the purpose of the fence. For example, a fence may be worth more to a property that needs it to diminish noise coming from a highway. Fences may also be a plus to dog owners who require a backyard fence.

When deciding whether to install a fence in your yard, consult with your realtor or real estate expert. They can help you prioritize home improvement projects that will add value to your home.

Can I use digital payments to pay for fence and gate installation and repairs?

Currently, many fence and gate professional use common digital payment services like Venmo, PayPal, Square Cash, Google Pay, Zelle and more. Many more are quickly adopting the platforms as COVID-19 continues to force companies to digitally transform.

Contact the professional beforehand to discuss whether you can make digital payments, and take all measures to comply with social distancing recommendations. Compare fence professionals side-by-side online to see which ones accept digital payments.

Do fence installers offer remote or virtual services?

Because fence installation needs to be done in person, fence professionals usually cannot offer remote services. If you come across profiles that state they offer remote services, message the fence installer to see what those services include.

For consultations and meetings, ask the fence professional if you can coordinate a virtual consultation in which you explain the project to them through video, photos and drawings transferred online. If not, it may be wise to postpone the project and book an appointment at a later date

How much is a redwood fence per foot?

A redwood fence is a long-lasting home investment that can add beauty and major curb appeal to your home. Redwood fence installation costs are higher than those for pressure-treated pine or cedar, due to the relative scarcity of the wood. Pricing can vary for redwood fence installation costs based on regional labor rates, current prices of redwood planks, the height and linear feet of the fence, and any custom designs or features. Redwood fences, in addition to being beautiful, are naturally more resistant against bugs and rot than less hardy or dense woods. Redwood fences also generally fare well in wet or humid climates due to their natural oils — which also make them easier to maintain. Materials costs per linear foot for redwood planks can range anywhere from $6 to $20 or more, depending on grade, quality and height.

Frank did it again!!!!! We were introduced to Adgo Fence by or lovely neighbor, who got his fence installed by Frank. The first time I met Frank, I knew he was the fence guy I needed for my project. When I decided to do my fence and started requesting estimates, I went through several fence company websites to request a quote for price comparisons and Frank was the only one that responded to our request.  Frank quickly communicated back with us regarding the quote and asked for additional information on the fence options to ensure the quote would be accurate.  He allowed us to get quotes on several different fence styles from wood, vinyl, or aluminum, to find the one that suited my budget and my desire to have a fence that gave us the look we wanted.  Once we found the right style, which was the white privacy vinyl, Frank came out to the house to verify the fence layout and scheduled the installation for the fence.  Now, that I extended my fence I called Frank again to come and do it. The fence installers were professional, on time and did a great job of installing the fence and answering all of our questions about how to maintain the fence to keep it looking good for many years to come. We enjoy our fence and have recommended Frank to friends and family when we hear they are looking into getting a fence. Thank you Adgo Fence for such a wonderful job

Jose Rivera was our sales consultant and he was super responsive and had a wealth of knowledge. He is very approachable and friendly. He came out and gave us a price quote for a wooden fence and a pvc fence, it was obvious to us which fence we were going to choose. We chose pvc and we feel it is the best investment decision we made. Not only does our house look beautiful but the maintenance on a pvc fence is very minimal in comparison to a wooden fence. The installer, Ariel, was the best! He took down our old fence by himself in one day and placed it neatly for curbside pickup. He did an amazing job with the installation of our new fence even with the challenges of the rock that he had to break to dig for the posts and the weather did not cooperate. Hands down one of the best people we have ever dealt with. Along the way, the ladies in the office (Daniela and Danielle) were very helpful and the Service Manager, Claudio, always made sure we had everything we needed and that we were very satisfied. We are so VERY satisfied with our new fence! We feel like we will be the trend setters in our neighborhood as many people have already asked about the fence. We unwillingly waited two years for our new fence but I must say that the wait is so worth it! Thank you The Home Depot Fencing, we love it and appreciate you in every step in the process!

Cary responded immediately to our request for a quote and made an appointment to meet with us the following day. He was both friendly and professional as he accessed our property for fencing and clearly explained to us how how our fence would be installed along with the county and HOA requirements. We have done business with The Home Depot for years and have absolute confidence in them, this along with their representative, Cary, gave us good reason to select THD for our fencing project.

Agreed on a price on 10/9. Paid him half the same day. Later that afternoon, materials were delivered to the house. He started work the next day and had the fence installed later that evening. We couldn’t be more pleased. Now we have a beautiful fence! Mr. Moraes and his crew did an outstanding job! I would definitely hire him again!

Turns out I wasn't able to have Mega Garage Door install my fence just yet, but everything so far with them has exceeded my expectations of customer service standards. Both Vitaly and Issac were extremely responsive and answered all my questions. After only a day or two from contacting Vitaly, Issac came out to measure my yard for the fence. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, and professional. When I'm ready to do my fence I'm definitely calling these guys back!

This review is to compliment Frank and his team on the excellent job being done in my property Yesterday a team came out to our home to install new fencing.  This is the second time we have used frank.   We were pleased with the vinyl fencing job completed a few years back so we decided to extend our fence and hire Adgo Fence again. The project started with Frank coming out and discussing our options and providing an estimate and project time line.  He was prompt, courteous and represented the adgo fence  in a very favorable light. I had told Frank that I was concerned about who they would send out to oversee the installation.  I was told they would send out a very good foreman. The foreman and I could not be more pleased.  He and his helper  arrived on time, introduced themselves and went over the project with me, successfully answering the few questions I had.  Both gentlemen were courteous and businesslike while they were here.  When they left for the day the job site had been cleaned of all construction debris.  We were told what to expect for the next stage of the project. My husband and I are very pleased and will contact Frank again for our next fence project. Regards, Marbelys gijon

These guys were professional, prompt, and was a pleasure to do business with. On our first appointment, they did the measurements and gave me the quote on the spot. It took them just one day to install the fence. I had a wonderful experience with them. They exceeded my expectations and would recommend them 100%.

Chain link fence installation and other mini projects. Bryan was great. He was on time, did great communications, and completed the jobs well on time. I especially liked the way he cut the trees with care. He didn't dump trees to the ground; he carefully placed the cut tree to the ground - very nice. His price was fair and affordable. It was pleasure working with him. Thank you so much, Bryan.
