About

I am a classically-trained violinist who moved to the U.S. from my native Poland. I have worked as a violinist in a professional symphony orchestra for more than 20 years. Complementary to all my performance activities, I have passionately pursued my interest in teaching since my years of study at the Academy of Music where I specialized in pedagogy and performance. I'm certified The Royal Conservatory of Music teacher. I particularly enjoy working with young children who are uniquely malleable and excited to learn the violin. I firmly believe that teaching music is an activity which not only trains children to play their instrument well, but in a more holistic way, shapes their values and character.

Katarzyna is an amazing violin teacher. She takes the time and care with each of her students and helps them with developing their technique and love for the violin. My daughter has enjoyed the lessons she has had with Katarzyna. If you are looking for a teacher that will teach your child proper violin technique and the love of the instrument she is the teacher for you and your child! I feel beyond blessed to have found such a knowledge, professional violin teacher!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly charge is $60 and the length of the lesson (30 45 or 60 minute sessions) is determined by the age and ability of the student and by mutual agreement. Lessons take place at my studio in South Miami.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free consultation with every prospective student. I can teach all levels of violin from beginning to advanced and all ages. I set goals with my students to achieve certain targets every term depending on their particular expectations. I follow The Royal Conservatory of Music program. Additionally I offer an innovative theory program - Music Mind Games, which has unique approach and can be used in individual studio lesson and studio group classes. Games and products work for a variety of learning styles (aural, visual, kinesthetic) and for all ages and skill levels.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have many years of performance experience in orchestra and chamber music settings, skills which enable me as a teacher to help my students not only learn new pieces, but perform them successfully.
