- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are based on the type of services requested; however the minimum for a cake is $ 60.00 ( note a simple, no filling, buttercream, 10x4 ) A non refundable deposit us required at least 4 weeks before the event and the balance is to be paid a week before delivery. No major changes on the design are accepted two weeks prior to the event. Customers must sign a contract and confirmation of delivery in good standing at the time of delivery. If the customer choses to pick the order once the order leaves my premises any damages to it is not responsibility of the company. As a courtesy I MAY offer to fix any minor details if the customer lives within 10 miles and if the details are minor. ( all varies from order to order)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I consider that is important to understand the view, likes and dislikes of the customer for which I try to have a one on one conversation when possible or email and interchange pictures and ideas. Once the specifics are set, I will draw a concept and obtain the approval. Also the flavors, fillings and day of the event is discussed to ensure everything is done and delivered accordingly
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My mother was a baker and I learned some trades with her; however, Techniques change and I have been taking classes with some of the best teachers in the field as well as I became a member of ICES ( Intl Cakes Exploration Society) which does shows, offers classes and scholarships for those who want to pursue their dream
