I teach a unique method of singing, entitled "The Free Voice." This was developed and mastered by Cornelius L. Reid. I have been a professional singer for over 30 years. I have been teaching voice and piano for 20 years. When I found this singing method, "The Free Voice", it took my voice to the level I was beginning to feel was not possible! I began singing seriously at the age of eleven. I just could not find a teacher who could teach singing! Cornelius(and many other singers) had the same experience. Even to the point of having their voices ruined. The voice and teaching it is very intangible. But,Cornelius Reid (Google Cornelius L. Reid) took many years studying the actual mechanism. So, if you search the internet for Cornelius you will find more information on exactly what the method is that I teach. He only taught in New York City, so there are very few teachers who teach this method in other regions. If you want to experience either learning how to sing, how to improve your voice or how to become a good or even a great professional singer, look no further. You have found it! One of my students was one of the top 50 finalists for American Idol. Others have auditioned for The Voice and America's Got Talent and they were called back. Learning this method will make your confidence soar! It will not be long before people start complimenting your singing voice!
For anyone looking to learn to sing or to improve their voice, you simply will not find a better method of technique than "The Free Voice". It is literally like finding a little piece of gold!
I Began studying the piano when I was 8. I studied under the tutelage of the best educated and professional players in Philadelphia, including Ed Pollicheck who was the conductor of The Baltimore Symphony. I had my own business for seven years teaching music specifically to children of all ages beginning them at the age of two. But, I teach piano to all ages- to anyone who wants to experience the joy of learning this instrument! I have a studio with a piano and a Kurzweil and a Large Casio. I have been teaching piano for 20 years. I can provide each student with a vast knowledge of music theory as well as learning to play chords and improvise. I, of course, also teach traditional classical piano. Every student walks away with everything they will need to accomplish their specific goals with this beautiful instrument. I encourage them to find songs they would like to learn as well as introducing them to classical pieces.
I majored in music and voice at Temple University in Philadelphia as well as attending their music school in center city. I have performed professionally for 30 years. Performing, singing, dancing and acting in New York City and the surrounding metropolitan area.
