I have been taking Spanish classes with Celia for four years, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my progress. When I started, I was a complete beginner, but thanks to her excellent teaching methods and dedication, I am now nearly fluent. One of the things I appreciate most about Celia is her flexibility. She has always been easy to work with around my work schedule and other commitments. Even when things come up on short notice, she accommodates my needs without any issues. Last year, I traveled to Peru for a month on a solo trip. Thanks to the skills I developed in her classes, I had no issues communicating and felt confident in my ability to speak and understand Spanish. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a native Speaker, I have been teaching Spanish for 6 years. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the Universidad Complutense in Madrid. I am certified to teach Spanish as well as English as a second language. Also I have a masters degree in Languages
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in Spain, teaching English as an assistant teacher. In 2104 I came to the United States to learn about a different culture and teach my culture, so I started teaching Spanish.
What types of customers have you worked with?
For the last six years I have worked for a language center with people of all ages, from toddlers to adults, from 3 to 75 years old. I have worked with professionals who need to learn Spanish for their business to communicate with their employees, with travelers, couples, seniors who want to exercise their minds, business owners, people who have relatives in Spanish-speaking countries.
